Encompassing the entire west side of Florida State University, the University neighborhood consists of several smaller neighborhoods, like Amelia Circle, Elberta Empire, and Mabry Manor. The neighborhood stretches from just north of Highway 90 south toward Seminole Golf Course and Club. Because it is so close to campus, University consists of a variety of housing -- ranch-style houses, townhomes, apartment communities, and student housing developments help make this eclectic area even more interesting. Mature trees shade the streets, and residential areas with cul-de-sacs create a suburban feel to this downtown neighborhood. Residents enjoy proximity to Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium, home of the Seminoles football team.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Acasa Ocala
The HUB has the worst communication. Not only did we call them daily for months before our move in day, they answered maybe once and even then they couldn’t give us any of the information that we were asking about. They lost our lease (we had to email them our copy). They sent us a welcome email that said to email them back with any questions, when I emailed them back (multiple times) there was no response. If you want an apartment that will give you your unit number before you move in, that will call you back when you leave a message, that will answer the phone, or that will have answers to simple questions (not just say “idk”) then DO NOT move into the Hub.
I have to believe the other reviews have been fabricated. The Hub is truly old and needs to be demolished and rebuilt. The walls are covered in years worth of layered paint dating so far back that you can see 70’s wallpaper where it is peeling back. We have lived here for almost a year now and the mold is very much present in all of the units. No getting around it. There is only one maintenance man who is extremely nice but he can only do so much. The window in our room is barely sealed and lets in bugs constantly they do quick fixes to serious problems. The circuit breaker has a chart that is clearly dates 1971 and does Correspond with the switches in anyway so its truly a guess game. The pop corn ceilings are falling apart and I dont feel safe living here for hurricane season at all. The “we care about your opinion and want to improve” comments under the bad reviews are a lie to make the apartment complex seem like its working to make things better but its about making money. Please hear me when I tell you there are much better places out there. Dont be fooled like we were.

I’m actually shocked at how bad some of the reviews are because that doesn’t match my experience at The Hub at all. This was my first apartment and they helped me understand everything about paying rent and taking care of the apartment. The staff is extremely helpful and I actually miss my apartment there! The apartments are a little older than other complexes so I wouldn’t expect everything to be perfect but they take care of them well ever since this new company took over. Honestly the only issue I ever had was my roommate ( they solved that) and my neighbors (which was not their fault). I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a lot of space for a reasonable price!

Very Impressed with the workability of the staff here. They made sure I understood all the guidelines of the property, and offered help in anyway they could to make sure I’d be comfortable. The units are very spacious and true to the photos, which is a plus! I very happy with my choice.

Thank you for your review. We are happy to provide an exceptional community environment.
This place is one of the most disgusting places I’ve ever been to. It is infested with bugs and the complex REFUSES to exterminate. You will have to do it yourself. If you opt to do random roommates and one your roommates decides they’re not going to pay their portion of the electrical bill, the complex does NOTHING to make them pay it. The place is filthy. They literally painted over the dirt. You will have to do some DEEP CLEANING as soon as you move in. Management is RUDE and doesn’t help with anything. GOOD LUCK!

This place has roaches everywhere, there even on the beds. Like your telling me you had 2 weeks to clean & you guys couldn’t have pest control!!!! I want to leave & they are not allowing me. The manager is rude and I want to see her come sleep with these roaches. Plumbing suck, carpet is dirty , and just these roaches. They dominate the apartment so I don’t how they miss that . If I can give a -100 I would , they don’t even get a 1 star in my book. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Don’t buy into the model!!!!
Ive lived here for 5 days so far and I want to leave already. The pictures do not match the units. There is not light in the rooms itself. The whole apartment is absolutely infested with cockroach its amazing how they are even allowed to let people live here.
