With four colleges nearby -- North Dakota State University, Concordia College, Minnesota State Community and Technical College, and Minnesota State University Moorhead -- Downtown Moorhead is a thriving, busy urban hub. Downtown hugs the Red River, directly across from Fargo, North Dakota. The Moorhead Viking Ship Park Bike Trail follows the river and is accessible from downtown on 3rd Street.
