Property Ratings at 9 On Canal
Do NOT rent here. I lived here as a student from 2023 to 2025 and it was the worst. My AC unit went out midway through summer and despite very assurance that an ever changing number of companies were working on the issue it never got fixed. In the winter there was no heat. Although they provided a space heater and a stationary AC unit this does not make up for the lack of central heating and cooling. During my first year, multiple times during the night the fire alarm went off at 2-3 am and several times in the summer there were pool parties till 4 in the morning. Although when management changed in 2024 these issues slightly improved, the lack of heating/cooling was never resolved. Please please please do not rent from here. All they care about is cashing your check

I just got out of my lease there and let me just say DO NOT LIVE HERE. As many people have already said in the reviews here they simply don't care. Maintenance walked into my unit with no prior knowledge of mine, while I was in the shower. The entire year I lived there I did not have heat nor air conditioning, it was miserable especially in the colder months. There is only one elevator that works so it takes forever and half the stuff in my apartment never worked. The dishwasher was too tiny and didn't clean anything. The pool and deck area was never opened and its still unfinished. They changed property managers so often that every time I went down to the offices there was someone new. If you want a package you have to get there between office hours so sorry if you have a job from 9-5 and they're not open on Sunday.They promise so many "features" like stainless steel appliances, soft close cabinets, etc. the only thing my unit had was the outlets with the usb. For how much I paid a month, they should have more things fixed. Good luck finding a parking spot in the garage, or if you lose the garage pass its 200$ to replace and get waitlisted for 3 months since they don't have any. And more than half the units are being used as Airbnb, so there are so many random people walking around constantly. They make so much money but don't ever use it to benefit the people paying to live there.
