City - Camas

Camas sits along the Washington side of the Columbia River, where an extinct volcanic vent called Prune Hill rises above a charming downtown filled with local shops, galleries, and restaurants. Part of the greater Portland metro area, the city gives residents easy access to Vancouver to the west and the energy of Portland just across the river—without sacrificing the slower, more grounded pace of a smaller community. Outdoor lovers are well-served by the surrounding parks, nature preserves, and waterways that showcase the Pacific Northwest at its finest. The city takes its name from the camas lily, a plant long prized by Native Americans for its edible bulb, and that sense of deep-rooted local history is woven into everyday life here.

The rental scene in Camas offers a solid mix of townhomes, garden-style apartment communities, and newer multi-story buildings that appeal to a range of renters.
