About This Property

Beautiful backyard cottage. We are renting our one bedroom backyard cottage. It is freestanding, light-filled and has its own outdoor space in a nice quiet neighborhood in Montavilla. We built this in 2018 and lived in it ourselves for the last three years, but now we're moving to our main house on the property. This unit is very bright, and lives much larger than the square footage would suggest. It has an open floor plan with wide hallways and an oversized walk-in shower. We included a bunch of upgrades such as granite countertops, energy efficient mini-split heat pump with AC, soft close cabinets, bi-directional shades, etc. Plenty of street parking and access along lovely path alongside main house. Taking applications, please contact to arrange. Owner pays garbage/recycling/greenbin. Water bill shared with front unit and pro-rated based on number of people. Tenant pays electricity and internet bills (Electricity bill averaged around $55/month for past 12 months). Because owner lives in the main house on the premises this property is exempt from relocation assistance eligibility and PDX screening criteria. (See PHB: 5. Tenancies where the applicant would occupy an Accessory Dwelling Unit, as defined by PCC 33.205, that is subject to the Act in the City of Portland so long as the owner of the Accessory Dwelling Unit lives on the site, or Tenancies where the owner occupies the Accessory Dwelling Unit and the Dwelling Unit the Applicant would occupy is on the site.)
