Bright and airy 1-Bedroom condominium near Fort Belvoir -- less than 2 miles from the main entrance, and even closer to the back entrance off Pole Road. This location offers easy access to public transportation with 2 bus stops less than one-tenth of a mile from your front door, one on Route 1 (Richmond Highway), the REX bus, which services Fort Belvoir all the way to King Street metro in Old Town And one on Sacramento Drive Fairfax Commuter 159 (Engleside Limited Stop) which services Huntington Metro, Richmond Highway, and several neighborhoods between Ft. Belvoir and Huntington. The condo is a top leveled unit, The balcony is off the living room with slider door access and vertical blinds so that daylighting is possible. There is also a screen door on the patio to allow fresh air in during the pleasant temps of spring and fall. The kitchen is open to the living room and faces the patio for enjoyment of the nice seasons and of the wood-burning fireplace in winter. The ceiling fan in the living room is great for air circulation of heat in winter and cool air in summer. There are windows with mini blinds in every room for day lighting and fresh air. The floors are beautiful light wood laminate throughout the living room and bedroom, and there is laminate tile in the kitchen and bathroom. A stack washer/dryer unit is in a closet in the kitchen nook area. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination with a large oval tub with step-up/down-into feature, and a nice vanity area with ample marble counter space, a large mirror, and large under-sink cabinets for storage. The bedroom is a good size for either a king or queen bed and dresser or two. There is another ceiling fan and a lighted walk-in closet with double hanger rods and closet organizer systems for additional storage. There is also a 5' x 4' secure storage closet off the balcony for seasonal items. This is a quiet neighborhood with mostly owner tenants, and neighbors that are friendly, but never bothersome. The grounds are landscaped and are kept neat and clean by the condo association, which is also great about keeping snow and ice cleaned up during winter. There is one marked and reserved parking space for the unit which is very close to the unit itself. There are additional unmarked spaces available for visitors near the unit, and lots of StreetSide parking if needed. And the condo association patrols the parking areas to ensure no unauthorized vehicles are allowed in reserved tenant parking. The trash dumpster is conveniently located in the parking lot for easy trash disposal, and is kept neat and clean and collected weekly. This is a very pet-friendly neighborhood as well. The neighborhood has lots of sidewalks around and between the buildings for a nice stroll through the neighborhood and leading out to the walks of the main entry road and Sacramento Drive. There are several types of restaurants, grocery stores, and retail shops within walking distance, and a beautiful pond with a walking path also within walking distance for a fresh air exercise, fishing or just nature watching -- see birds, beavers, and deer!
