You will need a 4WD or AWD vehicle for this property. The gravel road is maintained but steep in places This is a cute little 2-story stick-built home with 1 bedroom, an office/bedroom in the basement, and 2 bathrooms, one on each level. The home is a mile up Middle Ridge near the end of E. Fork Rd. $1300 a month with a year-long lease. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains with pure gravity-fed spring water to drink. Includes septic tank and washer & dryer connections (bring your own set) (There is a set there for your use, but the owner doesn't know if they work or not, but probably do) Mini Split HVAC upstairs and down. There are wall Gas units as a backup heat source if you supply the propane. There is a Sunroom for you plant lovers. Piano must stay, it's too heavy to move and the home is partially furnished with some older living room furniture and a dining set. We think Spectrum Internet available but check for yourself to make sure. Tenants will need to get a P.O. Box (mailman doesn't go that far out) Lawn is mostly moss but some weed eating is expected from tenant The home isn't too far from town. However, the driveway is long and gravel and may not be ideal if you plan to make trips to Town more than once a day. *Very steep gravel road* We perform background checks and check your credit. While we don't require perfect credit, we are cautious about any scores below 650. We do need to see that you have gainful employment or a good source of income and have a stable rental history or mortgage history. We do require 3 times the market rent in paystubs to be approved. **This house is rented exclusively through Western Carolina Rentals, Inc.** Don't be a victim of SCAM! Sylva seems like a town that someone would dream up on a Hollywood sound stage. Just an hour west of Asheville in the Nantahala National Forest, Sylva’s West Main St. is still lined with buildings dating back to the 1800s. Aside from new tenants that have kept the mountain town a popular tourist destination, Sylva looks like a place frozen in time.
Popular annual events keep the town buzzing almost all year long. Greening Up the Mountains, put on during the fourth Sunday in April, brings over 10,000 visitors to the town to celebrate the beginning of spring and the history of Appalachian arts and crafts. Sylva is also a popular fishing spot, and the Hook, Line, & Sinker Festival turns a whole weekend into celebration of the culture. Sylva was the setting of a few movies, including 2017’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Sylva’s real estate market is colorful, albeit small. Charming cabins and single-family homes are more prominent than apartment units in this scenic setting.
