Counting down the days until I can move !

I’ve lived here since this past August and have been wanting to break my lease after the first two months. I only moved here because I wanted my door to be inside a building as it’s my first time living alone. On top of the perks of having a trash shoot/ garage and looked past the stains on all the carpet in the building and awful land lord special on the paint job. Since living here there has been endless construction that seems to be getting nothing done. Leaks in the roof the left water stains and dry wall FALLING from the ceiling DIRECTLY on top of a neighbor’s unit door for weeks without being properly patched. Soft spots in hallways from water damage. Elevators have broke at least 3 times. Trash shoot is broken. Garage door is broken for the second time. Water line issues. Roach problem. My neighbor has a cold( I’ve never met this person but I can here him coughing all night poor guy) I was told by leasing agent unless my neighbors are “blasting chief keef” I won’t hear a thing. I can literally hear conversations and cold symptoms like they are in my unit. The place STINKS literally and metaphorically. Paying luxury apartment prices for roaches and rotting hallways!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand your frustration and want to address the issues you’ve mentioned. First, regarding the trash chute and garage gate, the extreme cold we’ve experienced over the past week has contributed to these problems. The spring that allows the garage gate to roll up and down broke due to the cold, but repairs are underway, and we expect it to be functional again soon. Up until now, the garage gate issues have primarily been caused by individuals not following instructions and being impatient, leading to collisions with the gate. We are taking steps to reinforce gate functionality and will continue to remind residents of the importance of proper usage to prevent future damage. For the trash compactor, a small hydraulic leak caused the recent issue, but this has since been repaired. Additionally, we’ve taken measures to ensure the room stays warm to prevent similar problems in the future. Regarding the condition of the common hallways, we’re pleased to share that we’ve received approval to replace all common area carpets throughout the building. This project is scheduled to begin in in the next couple of months. We’ve also recently started repairing ceilings after thoroughly addressing the source of the leaks to ensure they do not reoccur. While we strive to minimize disruptions from construction and repairs, these projects are part of significant improvements to enhance the overall living experience. We understand your concerns about soundproofing, and we encourage you to let the office know if you are having issue. We have procedures in place to mitigate these types of disturbances, and we will do everything we can to help. As for pest control, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can address any issues in your unit or common areas promptly. We value your residency and are committed to making improvements to ensure a better living experience for all residents. Construction ruining property.

Bed Bugs. Loud construction banging on walls all day. Nice floorplans but trash chute in building attracts roaches.

Lots of potential but fall short

Units inside are nice but terible appliances (smallest refridgerator I've ever seen in an apartment) Glass top stove is worthless and smoke detector activate when boiling water. The parking for guests is NON EXISTANT, and the "gated" secured Garage is neither functionally gated nor secured. Neighbors for the most part are OK - I live next to some rowdy types that party well into the Am on weeknights. THERE IS NO SECURITY ON SITE - so forget about having someone act on your behalfif there are problems - Lots of DOGs and poo in the grassy areas, the Courtyard would be nice if the management would get the renters to pick up trash and toys that are everywhere on the First level - not well run management at all - halls all need new carpet and smell old and musty.

Do not rent here!!

Awful!!! They started out ok but it is terrible now. Garage is t secure at all!!! Lots of people just hanging out doing drugs and drinking. Water is always shutting off, maintenance won’t fix anything, halls are filthy with trash and stained and molded carpets. Also, when you decide to move you have to agree to let them show your apartment to people while you’re still living there. Has gone way down hill!!

Great place to live

I’ve been at 801 Polaris for three years now and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. The property is well-maintained and in a very convenient location, and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Having free access to a gym is something I need to take advantage of more, but the fact that it is there is a huge plus along with the ping pong table. Can’t beat that.

Love it here!

The building and all the public areas are gorgeous- especially the gym w classes and the pool area! Units are spacious w big closets, and contemporary but also neutral design features to make it “home” whatever your style. I like the different social events they have- we especially loved the poolside movie night w the whole family. Very friendly staff, and located near lots of restaurants and things to do.

Vibrant and Convenient

I am really glad that we decided to live at 801 Polaris. They have so much to offer - I love the large pool and the clubhouse amenities. Our apartment is in the courtyard section, and I enjoy the Japanese garden feel they've created there. I especially appreciate the business center space - which is a REAL business space, not just a computer in a hallway. I use it for meetings, presentations, and to pull "all-nighters" when preparing special projects for my clients. And, the community is convenient to shopping, restaurants, healthcare, and places of worship. We love being able to get to downtown Columbus quickly or hop on I-71 for our frequent family visits up north. The staff at 801 Polaris are great - they are totally resident-oriented and do a lot to encourage the "Kaufman" lifestyle. They are highly responsive to any and all requests. They make living here a great experience. Other than some mysterious odor issues when we first moved in, our apartment is comfortable and well-maintained.

Beautiful Hard To Beat!!!!!

I love living at 801, the office staff Angel and Lenora as well as the maintenance crew are just wonderful, when i need any maintenance the office addresses it the same day or the following day. I would be hard pressed to find another home with the amenities that this building has. starting with everything being in the building such as the gym and rec room you never have to go out side to work out in bad weather or just to sit by the fireplace. The indoor garage is certainly a plus we love it. another outstanding feature to 801 is the security i feel so safe here even when my husband is not here. I love my home and could not find one as beautiful as this. the building is so quiet all day and even in the evening. We are looking forward to enjoying the beautiful pool again this year. My husband and I were looking for a home but we decided to stay another year we love it so much and it is home to us. Angel and Lenora are so dedicated to making sure everyone is enjoying the experience living at 801 Polaris. Thank you for all you do. Love my home!!!!!!

Home to me

I left my hometown suddenly almost 4 years ago after a divorce and moved to 801. I love it here. I feel safe & I'm right by everything I need. My apartment over looks the pool and I love sitting on my balcony in the warm months. The pool is awesome! My girlfriend always says she feels like she's at a resort when she come over. The maintenance people are great. They always take care of things within the day & once I dropped my keys into the slit of the elevator late at night and called the emergency number and someone came and got my keys for me which included my apartment, work & car keys. I have rented out the clubhouse & it is perfect for any party. I also started to work out & the fitness center is perfect & I save money by not having to go to a gym. They also offer fitness classes Monday-Thursday, that I take advantage of too. They also try to get the community together with different activities which I'd love to attend more often but they are at times I can't always attend.

Nothing Short of Wonderful

801 Polaris is convenient in every aspect - the location is amazing, the attached garage is so nice (especially with the Ohio weather), the maintenance team takes care of any issues within 1 business day and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The clubhouse, pool and gym are all spotless, functional and well maintained. I don't think I've ever seen an apartment building with such luxury amenities. The neighbors are nice and most people keep to themselves. It's a relatively quiet complex, but there are lots of events put on by management so you can be as involved as you want to be! I see a great mix of people from all walks of life and everyone seems to enjoy it here. It's an excellent value for what you get - I highly reccommend it!

Excellent!

I’ve done my fair share of apartment living and I must say nothing compares to this place. The staff is nothing short of amazing and everyone is so friendly! I met one of my best friends by moving in here —my neighbor. My pug puppy and I are very happy with our home here. The clubhouse, pool, gym, and garage parking are also luxuries!!

Bait & Switch

Ok first of all let me just say that 2 of the 4 reviews on this site aren't even from actual residents, shouldn't that in and of itself be a red flag that the residents aren't pleased enough to leave positive reviews? Sure, it's easy enough to leave a 5-star review when you only toured the property - don't get me wrong, I'd be sold based off of the amenities alone too: covered parking garage, pool, gym, clubhouse, etc. The garage gate is NEVER operational so if safety is a concern of yours, rest assured it isn't for the staff here at 801. Speaking of staff, good luck with consistency because the turnover is almost monthly. I'm sure they get paid peanuts and it's apparent in their courtesy. The current property manager is obnoxiously rude and has zero concern for keeping long-standing residents happy, which is especially funny considering they are having trouble keeping the building full and are CONSTANTLY encouraging us to use their "refer a friend" program - in our case, NOT A CHANCE. They are pet friendly and on several occasions I've gotten nearly knocked down by large dogs being walked off their leashes by rude and inconsiderate neighbors. The trash situation is a JOKE - our previous community manager, who wasn't much better by comparison, was at least good about reminding people that you cannot dispose of furniture in there. Today I went to take the trash out and there is a soggy mattress (because it's been raining) by the trash receptacle effectively blocking residents from putting their bags in the actual trash bin - it's no wonder I was ran off by a rodent scurrying out from underneath the trash receptacle the other morning as I went to take our trash out. Finally, the soundproofing is awful and you WILL definitely hear your upstairs neighbors so hope it's not children, large pets, or a woman in heels! (we've had all 3 in our years living hear, joy!) Their online portal is absolutely not user-friendly or intuitive and the staff here will randomly add back-charges without notifying you only to leave you to catch it and ask about it. One high note I will give them is their current maintenance staff is fantastic. If I could scoop them both up and take them with me upon moving I certainly would but that alone won't be enough to keep me here against my will much longer. Bring it on, spring real estate inventory because we're ready to escape the bottomless money pit that is 801!

So far, so good!

My husband and I moved in a few weeks ago and we love it here! The amenities are great (beautiful pool, gorgeous apartments, free workout classes from local trainers in the gym, community events) and the building's location is literally near everything. We had a couple of maintenance issues since we've moved in and maintenance has been responsive and professional. We do hear slight noise from our neighbors every now and then, but it's not overwhelming by any means. I do think your location in the building determines the experience you have with noisiness. Overall, it was a great decision and I'm glad we're here!

Upscale Modern...Great Location...Great Community

I love 801 Polaris! Its the perfect size for my husband and I. We love the modern style from design and color to the spacious and luxurious bathrooms. The Gym and clubhouse are amazing and love the parking garage ( especially in the winter) its 2 min from work and 2 min from the Mall or the Pub! Couldnt have asked for a better place to live!!

Love. It.

Read other reviews, took a tour, love it. For me the W\D included was a must have. The security of the property and covered parking are huge pluses. My schedule is erratic and I am so grateful their gym is accessible 24/7. I just hope I have time to take some of the free fitness classes taught by trained professionals, someone needs to kick my butt for me. Recycling is important to me but like most anyone else, I don't go out of my way to do it. Their recycling program makes it very convenient! I cannot wait to apply and secure a lease! Take a tour, you know you want to.
