Property Ratings at 80 on the Commons
I’ve been living here for less than two months and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Before moving in, I wish someone had warned me about all the issues you'll encounter. Right from day one, I had to submit multiple maintenance requests because things were broken or simply not in working order. Instead of prompt repairs, my concerns have been met with indifference. The situation worsened when I began noticing strangers seemingly following me around the apartment, and even receiving mysterious notes. When I brought up these alarming incidents with the property manager, I was told outright that there’s nothing they can do about it. This complete lack of support and accountability is unacceptable. Also, be very cautious if you plan to use the garage. It’s not a secured, private facility like one might expect – it’s public space where anyone can wander in. I promptly advise future tenants to be prepared to watch their belongings and themselves at all times. Overall, based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering moving here to look elsewhere. The problems are constant, the management is unresponsive, and your safety and peace of mind might be compromised. Save yourself the hassle and stress—find a place where you can truly feel at home.
Please read this review before you move into 80 on the Commons. 1) SAFETY is a major concern: There is no security in the building the doors are open 8-5pm so anyone can access the building. Construction workers are in the building on weekends also. When asked why they didn't have security they said the elevators can only get up to your floor. I have had multiple people piggyback in. 2) HOTEL IN BUILDING: They have a hotel in the building so you have random people coming into the building at all times. I've seen so many random people that have access to everything that residents have. Again this is a big safety concern because there is nobody checking them in so how do they know it's the person on the Credit Card. 3) Businesses have access to everything 24/7 365: The Business employees and construction workers use the LIVE elevators designed for the residents so if you are trying to leave from 8-9am or 5-7pm you will wait 5+ minutes to get an elevator. GYM AND COMMON AREA's are packed. Root will use the 6th floor common area to hold meetings so don't think you can go work there if you during work hours. Also the gym is packed and you can use the equipment from 7-9am and 5-7pm. In the summer employees will use the commons areas as their own and watch concerts on the 6th floor. 4) PARKING: You have to pay $130 a month to park where all the employee's park, so you will NOT be able to find a spot during business hours. Have asked to have resident parking so residents can actually find parking and nothing has been done. They do have Coastal Ridge employee parking spots but obviously don't care enough about the residents to have spots. 5) Construction: None stop construction, the workers are rude and leave cigarettes all around the building they don't respect the residents and again have access 24/7 so again SAFTEY concerns. Every tenet I've talked to is moving out, this place is a mess. They will try and give you 2 months free because they know how horrible this place is. There are a bunch of open units. RUN AND HIDE!!!
