About This Home
The home is scheduled to be available February 13, 2026. Pictures of the third bedroom, basement, and 3-season room will be added when work is complete. Pictures will be updated as rooms are finished, to include all-new light fixtures, all-new window blinds, appliances in place, house cleaned, etc.! The large, all-new kitchen provides plenty of room for entertaining guests, including an island and space for an eat-in kitchen. A formal dining room is accessible from the kitchen, as well. There are three entrances with the side entrance leading directly into the kitchen. The first-floor laundry room accessible from the kitchen includes even more storage! When parked in the garage or sitting on the patio, the back door leads to a small entrance area before stepping into the laundry room. The formal dining room is adjacent to a large living room which then leads to the beautiful staircase. There is a bedroom downstairs, as well (picture pending.) Upstairs, there are two large bedrooms with spacious closets. The full-bath upstairs and the half-bath downstairs are both all-new. A 3-season room welcomes guests to your front door. The low-maintenance, soon-to-be fenced-in backyard includes a concrete patio and a sidewalk leading to the garage. (A gate will be added and a privacy fence will "replace" the existing chain-link fence in the late spring or early summer.) And there is no lack of parking with a detached 1.5 car garage and a concrete driveway to accommodate parking for 3 more vehicles! Energy-efficient improvements include new windows, new roof, new furnace, and new central air. Flooring includes beautiful, refinished hardwood and all new vinyl planking. Appliances include a stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, clothes washer, and clothes dryer. The home is walking distance and very near to shopping, banking, schools, churches, and eating places. Online applications may be submitted, but we also have a short application to be completed before we show the home to selected applicants. After you reach out, we will contact you by email to complete the screening! After we show the house, all prospective tenants must participate in a pet screening process administered by PetScreening. Lease renews monthly after a minimum 6-month commitment. Tenant pays all utilities - electric, gas, water, sewer, garbage. Tenant is responsible for lawn upkeep and snow removal. There is no smoking allowed. Lease is signed and security deposit is due after tenant acceptance. The security deposit holds the property for the prospective tenant until the lease term begins. If the prospective tenant changes their mind before taking occupancy, the security deposit is forfeited.

Ottawa is a small city located about eighty miles southwest of Chicago, where the Fox River and the Illinois River come together. The community makes a big deal out of preserving and celebrating its role in American history: a monument commemorates the site of the first Lincoln-Douglas debate in 1858, the preserved John Hossack House served as a station on the Underground Railroad, and the founder of the Boy Scouts of America was a longtime resident. The surrounding countryside offers a tranquil atmosphere, and the nearby Buffalo Rock, Starved Rock, and Matthiessen State Parks provide beautiful venues for spending quality time outdoors. The local rental market offers a diverse selection of apartments and single-family homes, with great options available for any budget or lifestyle.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
