Although not always in season, you have a small mandarin tree that can deliver sweet delicious mandarins daily when its thriving. The unsuspecting courtyard is just beyond the steel framed Accoya wood custom fence. The outer space has a small water fountain that offers you an audio canvas for conversation or to just read a wonderful book. Vaulted ceilings will greet you upon entry in this 600 sq ft gem. The Casita has an efficient and comfortable flow that truly helps you unwind and relax. There is a brick fireplace retrofitted with an ambient on demand faux fire. Add a blast of ambience with the faux flames. We have also built a custom kitchenette into this fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with a toaster oven, microwave, dual burner hot plate, tea pot, and a coffee maker. The cabinets are equipped with basic condiments, plates, silverware, cookware etc. For in room entertainment there are puzzles, cards, and games to help you connect with the ones you're traveling with or wifi and cable TV if shutting off the brain is what is the Dr. ordered. I also have a portable radio that you can connect your phone or iPod to for music...or just listen to the radio. Amazon Fire stick and Netflix are also available to you. The Apple tv has other apps you can sign in and out of such as HBO Go or HULU The Casita has a separate open concept bedroom with a Queen size bed and 3" memory foam topper. There is a luggage rack as well as space under the bed for storage. The bedroom also has a double full length mirror wardrobe for hanging clothes and unloading your baggage in general. The windows of the Casita are into the backyard of our property, but filtered with Podocarpus trees, so you get a green view when the windows are open and you may see our two amazing puppies wondering or playing. There are also many great restaurants nearby! You will have access to the courtyard, the parking area as well as the entire Casita. One other item worth mentioning is the parking is tight so the smaller the car the easier. There are parking assist mirrors to help you in and out easily. Although I often park a long bed double cab truck there, it is infinitely easier when I park my wife's midsize car. Just a warning if you intend on having a large vehicle...ask me if there are any doubts. I am absolutely available for my Guests! I can help with recommendations on where to go or what to see among other things. Please don't hesitate to ask me any question at all! I also respect your privacy and will only interfere when called upon...kinda like a one call Beetlejuice! The quiet Reseda neighborhood provides a great contrast to the range of lively activities beyond. Cycle to Lake Balboa and explore the Japanese Garden, buy fresh local ingredients at the Farmers Market nearby, or hop in your car to visit LA. We have very easy access to the 101 freeway as well as the 405 freeway. There is also public transportation within walking distance. Although it is rare, I do occasionally accept dogs. We do thorough cleanings after each guest and have a few extra steps if a pet does stay. I just want to mention this for anyone who may have an intolerable allergy to pets.
