I would not recommend living at 640 N Wells. It is over priced, the rooftop pool is fake, you will probably not use it given the restrictions.

640 N Wells has great features within unit - the finishing details, organization space, and natural light are major bonuses. However, the community space is below average compared to other luxury buildings. The "work from home space" is non-usable as the room doubles as a social gathering space. When the common space is rented for private events, there is no communication of this to other residents making the surprise inability to use the space frustrating. The fitness studio lacks a spin bike, key equipment for Chicago residents as winters and springs lend to people needing to workout inside. The neighborhood deals have dwindled from summer 2021 to near nothing in the spring of 2022. Most luxury buildings provide discounts, fitness classes, events, or something unique and special to increase community spirit of the residents - something this building does not emphasize. Overall, 640 N Wells is in a key location with good 1 person units, but is subpar for many other components.

640 N Wells is a fantastic place to live! Excited to not need a fob for the gym again. Also wish the restrictions around guests would lighten up a bit now that so many people are vaccinated. Staff is great though and maintenance is excellent.

This was the best experience Ive ever had with an apartment building. From the first time we first toured the building to over a month into our lease there isnt one thing I would change. Everyone has been so incredibly helpful and the amenities are that of a 5 star hotel, this building has it all!

I requested maintenance via the doorman on duty to NOT enter without calling and being present and I walked into my apartment with maintenance in my living room. This is unacceptable.

I really like the unit and the staff, but feel like Im not getting my moneys worth. I signed my lease expecting to have full access to amenities, but obviously have not been able to use them to my full expectation due to Covid.

Management is extremely rude and unhelpful. Laughed at me on the phone for asking a valid question. They treat the residents like we're beneath them. I was excited moving in, but their attitude definitely soured my experience. Additionally, with limited amenity availability and much cheaper apartments on par in the same area, I don't think I could justify renewing unless they were to drop rent rate.
