Between 1979 and 2010 it was home to Porter Furniture. In 2016 the building was purchased and taken down to its shell before being rebuilt into 24 high end luxury apartments. The 40,000 square foot building boasts units with towering ceilings, open and spacious floor plans and a character that can only be found in a building with a rich history. Welcome home to the exclusive Porter Building.
Soaring high 20 foot ceilings, oversized windows that allow for an abundance of natural sunlight, and original hardwood floors are just some of the many features that you will find in this exclusive high-end unit. Experience the best of what Lancaster City has to offer including phenomenal restaurants and an active social scene, all from this prime location. This first floor unit includes two entrances, one through the main building entrance and a second directly from the unit onto the street. This particular unit is also one of the largest in the building at nearly 1100 square feet with 2 very large bedrooms, each of which include very generous closet space. The main living area provides a wide open floorplan and with the addition of the 20 foot ceilings and extra large windows, it is the perfect space for hosting friends or just stretching out while enjoying a relaxing evening inside while streaming your favorite shows with the buildings lightning fast internet. To avoid the struggle of finding a parking space on the street, the building offers a private parking lot and or an underground parking garage. Don't worry about having to lug your clothes to the laundromat because there is also a large, spacious and clean, in-building laundry facility. We are also pet friendly and welcome all, well behaved, four legged friends. For added piece of mind, the buildings access is limited to the tenants through individual electronic key cards, while the building and parking lot are both watched over 24/7 by video surveillance and the exterior parking lot and entrances are brightly lit at all times with flood lights. The Porter building, with its rich 100 plus year history and abundant amenities is the perfect location to experience all of the excitement and the benefits of Lancaster City. Welcome home!
