About thirty minutes north of Charlotte on Interstate 77 sits Mooresville, a quiet community on the shore of Lake Norman. Mooresville is also home to the world headquarters of Lowes Companies, one of the biggest employers in the region. Nearby Huntersville hosts the annual Renaissance Festival, which runs from early October to late November every year. Lake Norman sits just to the west of town, providing a popular destination for swimming, boating, and fishing.
