Located at the tip of Lincoln Park and at the end of Lake Shore Drive, Edgewater developed during the late 1800s as a resort town for Chicago's prominent citizens. The gorgeous beaches that stretch along Lake Michigan in Edgewater still attract visitors, and its beautiful skyline of towering offices and apartment buildings house those who've discovered the endless charm of this historic neighborhoods.

Edgewater is about seven miles north of Downtown Chicago, stretched along the coast and offering gorgeous parks and hiking trails along the lake, in addition to the beaches. Do not MOVE in!!

No parking space! Rude management Bugs! No safety.

Do NOT move in

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT MOVE HERE. The buildings gets very dirty, the elevator constantly breaks, the laundry is terrible. You will be lucky if management ever returns a call, email or text. They are practically impossible to reach.

DO NO LIVE IN THIS BUILDING!!

The worst management imaginable. They barely pick up calls. When they do, they are nothing but rude to you, even if you are trying to have a civil discussion. The maintenance man just screams and yells when he is working on something in the apartment. Mind you, he screams and yells at YOU. There are cockroaches everywhere in the apartment and hallways. The parking is $150 which is absolutely a rip off. My previous apartment in downtown had a parking fee of $150. Also, the covered parking and the uncovered parking is both $150. What is the point of having an uncovered parking in the winter the same amount as covered? The amazon or fedex packages get stolen from time to time. The washing machines dont wash and the drying machines dont dry. My biggest mistake was moving into this building.

WORST PLACE TO LIVE

Roaches everywhere, elevator hasn’t been checked since 2020, washing machines don’t drain, dryers don’t dry. No managers ever around. Free heat is really no heat. Not worth half my rent. Stay away!

worst place to live

Management literally does not care about their residents and does not respond. If you get a response, it’s usually super late. Roaches and bugs everywhere from centipedes to spiders to roaches and other bugs I’ve never seen before. Neighbors do not abide by policy by having dogs in the building. Maintenance does not clean up properly or fix broken laundry machines. Winter time is terrible because no one shovels even though you pay $150 for ridiculous parking

Very rude and careless management

Elevator is out of compliance, hallway is full of fruit flies, there are cockroaches coming from other rooms no matter how much you try to control, the carpet in the hallway smells very bad and looks way dirty, there is no ventillation on the hallway, few people come to clean up the parking lot during weekend and collect dust/trash under the cars, the janitor is extremely rude, comes withouy informing and just yells at resident, mail gets stolen occasionally, there is not enough space for mail, the laundry room is dirty and machines dont work properly. Parking is expensive, $150 per month. Management does not respond in time and is not present in the building.
