About This Property
This is your chance to delight in the houseboat lifestyle – it feels like resort living! Share this bright, spacious, loft-style houseboat with ex ad-agency owner and her hypoallergenic dog. The room and full bath (shower and tub) for rent are downstairs and the owner’s room and bath are upstairs, so there’s plenty of room for privacy. (You'll have the first floor to yourself most of the time.) All other areas in the home are shared, including utility room with washer/dryer, kitchen, library, dining room, living room, and floating deck complete with hammocks and piazza lights at night. The houseboat is located in a gated community right off I-5 at Jantzen Beach, and it floats on the lovely Columbia River with great views of Mt. Hood. Owner is looking for a happy, responsible tenant who has a positive outlook on life and will enjoy the fun and charm of floating home living – for instance, there is even room to moor a boat, jet ski or canoe right up next to the house, if you have one! Preferred tenant will have a full-time job and little/no furniture, as the home and room for rent are already fully furnished. (Prior tenants have rented a storage unit for their extra things.) $595/mo rent price is for occupancy of the downstairs' bedroom and private bath with tub & shower. All public areas of the house are shared. Utilities are $195/month and include WiFi internet, landline with free long distance, heat, A/C, water, sewer, garbage, gate key and parking spot. 12 month lease preferred. Additional move-in fee may be required, dependent on screening results. Owner has a dog and does not want any additional pets in the home.
