About This Home
This apartment is large, unfurnished, and finished with the kind of care that shows. Polished concrete floors. Custom cabinetry. Italian tile in the bath. A private balcony. Your own washer and dryer. TVs in two rooms. These aren't amenities bolted on as afterthoughts. They're carefully selected and thoughtfully incorporated to provide you a superior environment to work, play, and recharge. The Freight Yard is a boutique collection of 17 luxury residences that offers walkable convenience in Tallahassee's oldest neighborhood, the All Saints district. Stimulating and sophisticated, the Freight Yard is a celebration of urbanism and modern design with world-class street art layered on shipping containers and industrial buildings that have been given new life through clever and captivating renovation. Our buildings have won juried architectural design awards for their innovation and visual appeal. With an emphasis on sustainability, the Freight Yard incorporates a dozen upcycled shipping containers, solar power, and a profusion of palm trees and rare plants worked into a stunning landscape. Owning a car is optional. A Publix, FSU, FAMU, and state office buildings are all within a short stroll from our gate. The Freight Yard is rated Very Walkable by Walk Score with a rating of 86. All utilities and services (electric, water, wifi, trash removal, pest control) are provided for a flat fee of $150 per month in addition to the $1,900 monthly rent. Access to a private courtyard and scooter and bike storage are provided free to tenants. Reserved onsite parking is available for an additional fee. The Freight Yard isn't for everybody. If you're looking for large-scale generic housing with a gym and a hot tub, Tallahassee offers many options that are typical of a college town. But, if you're looking for a more intimate setting where residents enjoy a sense of community and a personalized living experience that fosters genuine connections with people and the built environment, the Freight Yard may be perfect for you. The thoughtfully designed spaces prioritize comfort and style, creating a warm atmosphere that encourages relaxation and focus. Sit on your private balcony and watch the sunset while the courtyard water feature provides a soothing soundtrack. Recharge and become inspired. Immerse yourself in the unique character and charm of the Freight Yard.

Tallahassee wears two identities at once: it is Florida's seat of government and one of the South's most spirited college towns, and both roles shape daily life here in ways that feel genuinely distinct from any other Florida city. Florida State University and Florida A&M University together bring more than 70,000 students to town, fueling a lively arts scene, a packed events calendar, and a rental market with real depth and variety. The Capitol Complex anchors a steady base of government employment, which gives the city an economic steadiness that other college towns often lack.
Neighborhoods here have real character. Midtown draws renters who want walkable access to local dining and the peaceful loop around Lake Ella. College Town pulses with energy near FSU and the Railroad Square Art District. Downtown offers high-rise apartment communities with views of Cascades Park and the Capitol.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
