About This Home
This historic charmer combines modern kitchen and bath amenities with decadent dining, living and home details from the Rockefeller days. Speaking of Rockefeller imagery, the beautiful Pauquette Park offers a skating rink, pond, walking gardens, playground and river views just blocks away. We have added a main floor suite with in room breakfast nook and expansive windows, walk in shower with handicap chair if needed and a full bed. Main floor also features a newly updated butler's pantry and kitchen, and historically detailed rich dining and living area with hardwood floors. Upstairs there are four additional bedrooms and a full bath with the deep old fashioned soaking tub (can also shower). Five TVs throughout the house in bedrooms and the living room. This home is ideal for a multi-generational family or group who needs lots of separate sleeping spaces. The basement level also has new front loading laundry and an exit door from this level with additional unfinished, but expansive space. (Depending on start date, length of stay and client needs we can potentially have a third full bathroom complete on the basement level).

Portage is a small city on the banks of the Wisconsin River, located about forty miles up Interstate 39 from Madison and about fifteen miles east of Wisconsin Dells. Boasting a proud history as an important commercial hub for the region, Portage features a timeless Downtown district with countless locally-owned shops, restaurants, taverns, and other small businesses operating out of the vintage storefronts.
On the north side, the Northridge Mall anchors a cluster of shopping centers along New Piney Road. The surrounding landscape offers countless opportunities to spend quality time outdoors, from the sprawling Pine Island State Wildlife Area along the river to the Cascade Mountain ski area just southwest of the city.
