About This Property
NOW AVAILABLE! 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment in the heart of OB! This charming beach bungalow is literally two blocks away from the beach, and literally one block away from OB's downtown, Newport Avenue, and if, like us here at this website, are a stickler for the term "literally," then this apartment is for you. Recently remodeled, and recently added to this website! The only thing it's missing is you. Here are some of the things you have waiting for you: • All solar, all the time: This apartment is completely 100% "off the grid," except in those times when you produce more than you consume, at which point the local electric company siphons off the dregs like a power-hungry addict, always looking for its next fix. Disgusting. For you though, this means no electric bill, which is a tidy bonus. • Central A/C and heating: Although considering it's San Diego, let's be honest, you're really only going to use one of these. But feel free to use whatever you want based on the aforementioned solar. This apartment actually has mini-splits, so you can keep different rooms a totally different temperature, if for some reason this appeals to you. • Gas range/oven: I know this is—no pun intended—a hot button issue for many of you, so we're including it here. • For those of you who care, know that we here at this website will defend to the very death your right—your God-given right—to use gas to prepare and, ultimately, overcook a meal you saw on your social media feed a couple of days ago. Coq au vin? Seriously? What were you thinking? • For those of you who don't care, think about how sweet it would be to rent this apartment and take it off the market from someone who DOES care. You win! • Hardwood floors: For those of you coming from the Midwest, this may be weird, but trust us, this is a better choice. • Outdoor patio: Much better than an indoor patio, in almost every way other than ironically. Also comes with a genuine original OB lifeguard chair, in case you would like to have guests over and then sit quite a bit higher than the rest of them, lording over them and their conversations. It's for safety. Nobody is drowning in your apartment on your watch, darn it. • 24 hour concierge service (sold separately, purchased by you): Via companies like DoorDash, UberEATS, etc. Come on, it's the 21st century! Live a little why don't you. Your company works you too hard for you to have to cook for yourself. You already screwed it up in the prior section anyway with that swing-and-a-miss coq au vin. • Windows and such: We know you have gotten used to this feature, but believe us, this would have blown your minds back in, say, 384 AD. Also related: door locks, indoor plumbing, nobody trying to murder you with a sword or something. This apartment has it all! • Keyless entry: Never worry about getting locked out because you forgot your keys! Worry instead about getting locked out because you forgot the code. There was a 1 in there, you think? Was it your aunt's birthday? Could she be up at this hour? She's probably going to be pissed at you if you call her and ask her right now. It's 2 a.m. for crying out loud. And you, very clearly, have forgotten her birthday. • Wait! You remember! It's YOUR birthday. Idiot. This is going to be an awkward family reunion coming up. Now, let's talk about you. We here at this website know what you're asking yourself. "Self," you ask yourself, "I have a question for you," in a way which speaks to a shocking level of redundancy bordering on observe compulsion, or possibly an undiagnosed head injury. "My question for you is this: "Am I this awesome? Am I awesome enough to live steps away from the beach, a block away from downtown OB? Do I dare to live out my dream of living in the best beach town on the West Coast for the summer, to jump in the water, to either learn how to surf as I always wanted, or assuming I already know how to surf, to continue to surf, presumably as I also continue to want? Most importantly, am I awesome enough to charge it all on the company's dime, thereby wresting back one small part of my very soul, which they seem so comfortable talking from me, one overburdened shift at a time, each underpaid paycheck another reminder that, as much as I may love my job, this is nothing more than a business transaction for them, and I am as interchangeable as a piece of furniture, or the plants in the foyer that I hate so much?" YES!! You and your self-questioning self are EXACTLY that awesome. In fact, you are EVEN MORE awesome than that. You have within you the capacity to reach a new level of awesome, to unlock your true potential. To find your real you. And all that you need to do ... is to rent this apartment. You can see it, can't you? You can be so happy. Complete. Dare we say it, self-actualized. This summer is the summer you will remember for years to come. It's the one you will talk about insufferably with your friends, or more accurately AT your friends, while they wonder what has become of you. You'll know, however. It is so obvious. The people you'll meet! The adventures you'll experience! The memories you'll have, or sometimes not have, assuming you had too much to drink one night, it's ok no judgement! Your friends knew you before you rented this apartment. Hopefully, they are awesome enough to be with you after this apartment. We truly hope so. But you owe it to yourself to find out who YOU are. Your future is tantalizingly close. Come get it. Slay. Video tour available!
