About This Property
Short-term or long(er)-term rentals welcome (annual rental rate available too). Please contact me for specific pricing depending on length-of-stay. Studio close: Universal, CBS, Disney and Warner; Paramount is approx 8 miles away. *Heated Pool* 1951 charm meets the 2020s: welcome to Sherman Oaks, CA. Updated and redecorated in 2021, this ultra-clean, private home sleeps 6 comfortably. Great for relaxing and sunning with pool, big patio table & chaise loungers. Super comfy beds with fluffy comforters & plenty of soft towels in the baths. Gourmet kitchen: WOLF range, specialty cooking tools, lots of pots & pans, and a coffee station too. Enjoy the peaceful environment while being close to all the fun stuff LA has to offer. Dedicated parking spot in driveway of home. King bed in front master, Queen bed in pool-view back, and Queen Plus in convertible den (American Leather Sleeper Sofa with no bar in the middle) with privacy doors. It can get hot in L.A. so in addition to the central cooling system, there are portable fans in the closets of each bedroom. 5 total TVs with one in each bedroom, one in bath and one in kitchen: DISH TV - America's Top 200 w/ 240 channels. Spectrum High-Speed internet included. Full-size washer and dryer in back porch off of kitchen. Both bathrooms have oversized stall showers with tub in master. Speaker system in den for watching movies, plus speakers in master bath, master bedroom, living room and patio to push music through the whole house and outside. Most light switches are on dimmers (and only 3 pesky LED lights in the house) to set the mood and tone you want: the home looks beautiful at night, especially with the custom patio lighting and Malibu-lights around the pool. Great local neighborhood for walking and jogging. There are also convenient hiking trails nearby in the Santa Monica Mountains. If you're traveling without a car, and need to get somewhere fast, I'm usually available for a quick shuttle service!! If you do have a car, there's plenty of parking. Distance (approximate) to the following: Universal Studios - 4 miles (6km) Hollywood - 7 miles (11km) Burbank Airport - 7 miles (11km) West Hollywood - 7 miles (11km) Beverly Hills - 8 miles (13km) Downtown Los Angeles - 12 miles (20km) Santa Monica Beach - 18 miles (29km) LAX Intl Airport - 21 miles (34km) Malibu Beach - 28 miles (45km) Disneyland - 40 miles (64km) Well-established, quiet neighborhood in Sherman Oaks. Close to Westfield's Fashion Square Mall for shopping, and trendy Ventura Boulevard for dining. Food shopping close too at Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Gelson's and Ralph's Markets. Starbucks and Rite-Aid Pharmacy are just up the street, two blocks away. Other notes: - Los Angeles has Rental rules which are posted at the home. No parties and no outdoor noise after 8pm. - While completely harmless, the elderly neighbor to my south is not welcome on this property or in the home. If this concerns you in the slightest, please contact me as I assure you she will be of no consequence at all. The story is actually amusing. - Depending on the weather, I will need to access the backyard to water the plants from time-to-time. I will ALWAYS text you before I enter the backyard. - Pool serviceman comes on Thursday mornings, and - Gardener comes on Friday mornings Both the pool man and gardener will need access to the backyard without notice. - I LIVE ON THE PROPERTY IN A SEPARATE/PRIVATE GUEST UNIT IN THE BACK THAT IS ACCESSED VIA THE DRIVEWAY (the driveway runs along the side of the dining room and kitchen windows). The entire house, pool and backyard are yours; the back half of the driveway and my guest house are gated and fenced for privacy for both of us.
