About This Property
Welcome to your cozy Chicago home away from home! This second floor apartment in a brick 2 flat, has tons of natural light and gives you the perfect place to kick your feet up after a day of sightseeing, meetings, or whatever else brings you to town. Radiator heat keeps you nice and toasty during the winter and the convenience of laundry on-sight(in the basement), along with enclosed garage parking makes this home all that more easy for your lifestyle. Chicago is a city built for commuting and public transportation. The apartment is a block from the Addison bus, which is a quick ride to Wrigley Field or the lake front. And a block from the Milwaukee bus stop, which can get you downtown to Madison and Wabash(Milenium Park/Maggie Daly Park/Grant Park area). We are also 3 blocks from a Metra station that will take you to Chicago Union Station(Near Willis Tower/Sears Tower). We are also about a 20/25 minute walk to the Irving park blue line, which will also take you downtown as well as to the airport, and another metra station into the suburbs. We have an indoor garage if you prefer to get around by car and the apartment is a short ride to the highway. Irving Park is a great location for families or guests looking to explore the City, we have something for everyone. This apartment is located just 4 blocks from the famous Irving Park 6 corners. We have delicious restaurants popping up all over the area within walking distance. It’s not a trip to Chicago without pizza, and you’ll find a great spot, Chicago’s Pizza, down the street. The apartment is also located a 20 minute walk from female owned and run ERIS Brewery and Cider House. Gracie O’Malley’s our local pub with great bar food and local beer on tap. Jeff’s Red Hots is around the corner for a Chicago dog. Brunch locations include Eggsperience, and Breakfast House and Coffee Bar. Community Tavern is a local foodie upscale hot spot run by a husband-and-wife duo, and was just named number 10 in the top 50 best burgers in the US. Or give our upscale Mexican restaurant, Tatas Tacos, a try. We also have a couple of great coffee and tea spots! City News Café is a quirky coffee shop that doubles as a magazine bookstore. Their matcha and sweet treats are delicious. Junebug is a great little café with Coffee and amazing beignets. And if you’re a tea drinker Sweet Dragon Boba Tea is the spot for you! For those of you with longer stays, a Jewel/Osco grocery store is located at 6 corners. There will also be an Aldi opening in the beginning of 2024. For the little ones, there is a brand new indoor playground called, Uppie Yuppie, and for some outdoor play, we are also 2 blocks from Kilbourn Park. If you happen to be a yogi, we have a wonderful yoga studio within walking distance, Wildlight Yoga. If you need to do some shopping, a Marshalls and Ross are within walking distance to grab some essentials. A Target will be opening before the end of the year, as well. I have also stumbled upon antique shops and thrift stores in the neighborhood and surrounding areas. So lets talk about the Nearby neighborhoods to travel to. Portage Park, just down the street is centered around a big gorgeous park that has Sunday farmers markets during the Summer and Fall months. They host a lot of local events, as most of our parks do, all year round. Avondale and Logan Square, just up the street is a foodies dream. If you take the Addison bus towards the East(the lake) you will be in the famous Wrigleyville/Lincoln Park area. Home to our baseball lovable losers, the Cubs. Wrigley Park is where our baseball games and many concerts are held. In addition, Gallagher Park, just outside of the field, hosts many neighborhood events including one of the Christkindl markets and an ice skating rink. If you continue that same bus, you will find yourself at our beautiful lake front. This is all just local around the area neighborhoods! After exploring the excitement and beauty of Chicago, coming back to an apartment and neighborhood that feels like home is the best part!
