This is a large restored 1922 Victorian one bedroom apartment 2 blocks from SJSU, 3 blks from MLK library, Transit Mall, Clubs and Restaurants, 4 Blks from City Hall, Movies, 15 minutes to the airport. The rent includes, parking, office quality WIFI, water and garbage. This building is a San Jose City Landmark in one of the best neighborhoods and locations downtown. The apartment is a corner apartment on the first floor with all picture windows. The entire apartment has been custom painted; the entryway and main rooms are hardwood floors, there are Tiffany glass light fixtures in the kitchen and hallway. The living room has a ceiling fan, walk-in closet with built in dresser and mirror and custom made shutters for privacy. The bedroom has a huge tiffany hanging light, tiffany sconces, walk-in closet with another built in dresser and mirror and custom made shutters for light. The bedroom and livingroom are separated by French doors. The kitchen has a side-by-side refrigerator, Kitchen Aide gas stove/convection oven and portable dishwasher and gooseneck sink faucet, drop down ironing board and drop-down table. There is a 5-stage water filter connected to the water dispenser and icemaker on the reefer door. The bathroom has a full bath and shower, period light fixture, towel rack, pedestal sink and large built-in storage area with shelves and large drawers. The apartment also has an alarm with motion detectors. It is just off the front porch of the building, which is a common area. There is a laundry room in the building and a parking spot is also included. The building also has a water softener system, secured bicycle storage room and barbecue area. This is a friendly building, clean and quiet with long term tenants, young professional tenants The owner lives in the building and takes care of all maintenance issues. We are two blocks from SJSU but these are quiet blocks, not frat or party houses. The apartment rent is $2,450 per month including, water, hot water and garbage and office level WIFI throughout the property with an IT person on-call. The building is also rent controlled.
