About This Property
4610 Mayor Place, Alexandria, Virginia 22310, a single story, 3 bed, 2 full bath, 1,092 sq ft rancher on a cul-de-sac. It’s located in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County, called Franconia. It comes unfurnished (I had to take photos before I move). Available 15 September 2024- 24-month lease preferred. I bought it in 2020 and have renovated it to be my forever home, not expecting to be stationed overseas for the next few years. It’s a good family house in a quiet neighborhood with very friendly, helpful neighbors, and multiple grade schools within walking distance (You can look up schools in the district at this link: ). I’ve upgraded much of the house—brand new top-of-the-line AC, compressor, gas furnace, gas-tankless water heater, disposal, new attic insulation, and updated kitchen with new quartz countertops, backsplash, fixtures, and appliances including gas stove and brand new stove hood vent as well as an additional beverage fridge. The hardwood, custom kitchen cabinets are awesome—so much storage space. New hardwood flooring in kitchen, dining area, and living room. Living room has a great wood burning fireplace. In addition, both bathrooms were taken down to the studs and are completely renovated. Each room gets lots of natural light, and there are two skylights (with retractable shades) in the living room. It has an in-ground pool in the backyard with a tall, private fence! You can go on vacation in your backyard! Pool cleaning/maintenance is included in the rent, so you won’t have to worry about cleaning it- plus $200/mo credit June-Sep for electric and water. I intend to renovate the pool in the spring of 2025, which would include resurfacing the pool, new tiles, and new coping stone. The fenced in backyard is great—lots of room for parties on the pool terrace, grilling, and a pad at the west end of the yard for a firepit. In addition to every bedroom having a closet, there is a linen closet, coat closet, utility room, and then a large storage room at the back of the 2-car carport. The brand new pool pump shed also has plenty of room for storage. 15 min drive to Fort Belvoir, 5 min drive to the Huntington Metro Station and parking garage, and 5 min drive to shopping galore. 8 minute walk to Franconia Recreation Center, which has tennis courts, beach volleyball, multiple playgrounds, wooded trails, picnic areas, sports fields, indoor Olympic size swimming pool, basketball court, etc. Plenty of shopping available in Kingstowne or Rose Hill. Great schools available for children of all ages. Ideal for families as it set in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood within Alexandria. No smoking. Pet addendum and deposit required ($200). Tenants must carry rental insurance. I look forward to finding a good tenant to make it their home while I’m away.
