About This Property
Hello! I have a room available in my 3 bed, 2.5 bath condo. The room is 9'4"x13' with a closet and some furnishings if desired. I can also store the furnishing away if you prefer. Brand new blackout shades are installed which can be raised and lowered from below or above. The room has electric heat and you're welcome to use one of my rolling AC units in the Summer. There are also mini-split HVAC units throughout the unit to supply additional heat and AC. Rent is $775/mo. and includes water, sewer, trash & recycling. Electricity will be split 40/60 with you taking the lower percentage. Common areas are shared but you have your own section of the fridge, pantry and storage closets. The kitchen has a glass-top range and oven, microwave and dishwasher and there is a front loading, stacked washer and dryer. First and last month's rent are due upon move-in. You'll be sharing the home with me and my 7 year old son. I work full-time as a bookkeeper and he attends school and aftercare 5 days a week; he spends weekends with his dad. As a single, working parent, I take it easy in my free time. I do love to hike, bike ride, visit the farmers markets, museums and attend concerts. I play piano and song write from time to time. My son likes building with legos and learning all about how the world works (biology, physics, mechanics). He's described as very sweet and clever. He has a cat and dog allergy so we will not be accepting applicants with pets. The home was built in 2010 and is certified LEED Platinum making it an eco-friendly build. We’re on the 2nd & 3rd floors of the building which means you will need to climb several flights of stairs each day. There are only 8 units here, so we are a fairly insular yet diverse community. Shared bike storage on the ground floor means you won't have to traverse the stairs with yours. The home is located within the beautiful Portsmouth neighborhood (between Kenton & St. Johns) with access to bus lines 4 & 35. You'll find several community gardens and numerous parks nearby. Many restaurants can be found all along Lombard St. and there are several grocery stores in the vicinity including Village Market (just 2 blocks down!), Fred Meyer, New Seasons, Green Zebra, Grocery Outlet and more. A 7 minute drive or 12 minute bus ride to University of Portland. If interested, please reply with your name, contact information and a few paragraphs about yourself (work/school and weekday/ weekend schedule, interests, special considerations and anything else you'd like to share) and I will reach out to schedule an interview and tour of the home!
