LIFE IS GOOD and EASY at our completely restored, newly furnished, one bedroom apartment at the tropical beachside El Escorial complex. Resort-like atmosphere in the perfect Santa Barbara location next to the East Beach Volleyball courts (by the Santa Barbara Zoo). This is a locked and SECURE complex and there is a 24 hour security guard. Included is electric, gas, water, HOA and your own, very close by designated parking and small storage area (visitor parking available). Internet is available by the pool so most people arrange their own. Minimum lease is 3 months. The apartment has just been COMPLETELY renewed, repainted and recarpeted and EVERY appliance has been replaced. This is a third floor unit looking into giant coral trees and it is PEACEFUL with no one overhead and there is an elevator up to this level (we love the trash chute from the third floor so there is no trudging up and down stairs with trash or recycle!). There is a skylight in the full kitchen and large windows face the beautiful mountains to the North providing natural light all day long (no harsh light from East or West). There are two layers of new curtains in the bedroom and living room - privacy curtains which allow all light to come in and darkening curtains (if you want to sleep in or watch a lit screen during the day). There is a large flat screen television in the living room (and small one if desired in the bedroom). There is a NEW washer/drier combo in the unit, and for larger items a laundry room (present on every floor). The NEW furniture includes a couch, long enough to lie down on (but not a pullout) and the unit is LIGHT AND BRIGHT with an island feel, and a small table to enjoy your meals. The bedroom has a brand NEW king sized memory foam mattress and bed, desk, and walk-in closet. There is new bedding and towels. The unit has a full kitchen with NEW kitchen utensils, silverware, pots and pans. Basically, we restored this unit as if we were to live there ourselves. There will soon be a NEW washer/drier in the unit and a big laundry room down the hall (present on all floors) for larger items. This beachside complex has it ALL!!!! There is a beautifully appointed gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, club room, barbecue area and tennis courts. Bike or walking paths lead to Montecito or State and a walk along the beachfront leads to many hotels and restaurants or the bird refuge. The flyaway bus system to LAX is across the street at the Hyatt where you can also eat at their restaurant. A bicycle or two is available upon request. We are hoping for a tidy single renter or couple who are nonsmokers. We prefer no pets (they are not allowed in the central area) but are willing to consider one on an individual basis.
