Married couple is seeking a housemate to share our lovely, light-filled home. We live there part-time and are mostly only present one weekend/month and 4-6 weeks in the spring and 4-6 weeks in the early winter. We’ve been sharing our home with travel nurses and other professionals for the last five years and are seeking a housemate starting as soon as April 1, 2026. Length of lease is flexible. Quiet, private, unfurnished bedroom with good closet space on first floor facing a lovely, verdant backyard; we can provide a queen mattress and nightstand if needed. The photo of the room with the orange sofa will be empty (no furniture) as of 4/1. Mostly private hall bathroom generally not used by anyone but the rare dinner guest; gorgeous light-filled common living, dining and kitchen space and nice deck with grill. Shelf storage available in garage and space for a bike or two. $1800/month includes utilities, WIFI, garbage. Shared off street driveway (e.g. we communicate often so everyone can be accommodated when returning late at night). House is situated in Adams Point, which is a comfortable neighborhood north of Lake Merritt; very bike-able, walkable, 15 min walk to five grocery stores(!), farmers’ market, and BART. Near Kaiser Oakland and numerous bus lines. We are looking for a kind and clean housemate. We are part-time residents and when we are home, we work from home. We are social and like to chat over ice cream or a glass of wine but also are often out and about on weekends and evenings. Contact us and we can share a link to a video tour of the house.
