Downtown Spokane offers residents something unique: waterfalls in the middle of the city. The Flour Mill, a renovated, 100-year-old mill, houses eclectic specialty shops and fine dining options while restaurants such as Mizuna and Anthony's at Spokane Falls let diners enjoy a view of the river as they eat. Downtown Spokane is home to Washington State University Spokane, and just across the river to the northeast is Gonzaga University.
