Amazing location in the heart of historic Mt. Vernon, a 30 second walk from the monument in the middle of the city, next to great restaurants, and close to multiple grocery stores. At least 5 buses(including free Charm City Circulator and Hopkins bus) pass by the house, 2 minute walk from Walter's Art Museum and Mt. Vernon park. This mansion in the center of Mt. Vernon used to be a bed and breakfast but is currently being rented out to a group of teachers at a new charter school. There is a total of 10 bedrooms in the house, 4 will be available at the beginning of July for sublease until the end of August with the option to sign a one year lease beginning in September. The home was renovated 10 years ago and has hosted some of our nation's most famous public figures. The images speak for themselves, and do not begin to encompass how great the home is. The current residents range between the age of 22 and 25. We are a fairly close group that enjoys bbq'ing in the backyard, doing work together in the dining room, traveling, and throwing the occasional party with some of our friends. We are excited to meet other people in the city that are active and open to new experiences! Also, there is an amazing backyard which some have called an "urban oasis." Each bedroom has its own bathroom, A/C, heater, queen or king size bed, and washer/dryer is located inside the home. There is free parking in the back of the house and it's well lit so no worrying about break ins. The kitchen is quite large with an industrial stove that has 14 burners. The landlord is planning on selling the home next year but is hesitant because she does not want to see it converted to separate apartment buildings. This is a tremendous opportunity to live in one of the best homes in the city with a group of young professionals that enjoy spending time together, love the community they live. The rent is $1650/room(prices highly negotiable), this includes all utilities and Wi-Fi, free parking included.
