About This Home

12 Month Lease, $1,000 deposit, Available Aug 1

18th century barn with 21st century appliances. This post and beam barn has an open floor plan and a cathedral ceiling. It has efficient radiant floor heating and passive solar. A loft surrounds three sides of the ground level, which can be made into one or two bedrooms and a study. There are two full baths upstairs and a half bath below. This stand alone building sits on two acres, with a deck overlooking the pond. The lawn and gardens are shared with and maintained by the owners. The renters are asked to keep the driveway cleared in winter. The town beach and a freshwater swimming lake are both within two miles, and a lovely 9 hole golf course is even closer. Pets are welcome and a dog run is within walking distance. References. 1000 dollars security payment, and a year’s lease are required.,

The barn is down a driveway behind the main house. It has two floors. The ground floor has a smoothed concrete floor, and is open space design except for a half bath. The second floor, has a wide board pine floor, and is open loft space surrounding the first floor. It is basically one bedroom, but the side lofts have been used for a child or a guest room. There are two full baths upstairs, one with a shower and washer and dryer, and the other with a tub and bidet. The two acres of gardens, lawns, and pond can be enjoyed by renter, and are maintained by the owner. It is requested that the renter keep the shared driveway cleared in winter. The property is twenty minutes from the town center and Jacob's Beach, and just a little further from the freshwater beach on Lake Quannipaug. There is also a beautiful 9 hole golf course nearby, and a dog run just a couple of blocks away. Dogs are welcome since they keep deer from the gardens. Interesting wildlife gathers around the pond. References and a one year lease are required, plus 1000 dollar security.
