      38 Dolores is a centrally-located property convenient to shopping, the arts, Civic Center, and night life. It has extremely easy access to public transportation to get to FiDi. A newer building, apartments have nice amenities, modern finishes, and great views. There is also a “hidden oasis” in the heart of building: a beautifully maintained 3rd Floor courtyard with a fire pit, BBQ, and community lounge. It provides a great retreat from the hustle & bustle of The City just steps away and down three floors.

      Great place to live, great staff

      The central location makes walking around much easier, close to the muni and lots of shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly and easy to get along with.

      A Gem on Market St!

      You really cannot beat the location. Not only is it in the sweet spot of the city, I'm only steps away from Whole Foods, Safeway, and the Muni! The resident events are fun and my neighbors are so kind. Most importantly, I absolutely adore my little chic studio.

      I’ve lived at 38 Dolores for a year now and I really love it. The location is the best in the city, and the apartment interiors look like new and are well-maintained. Our new package retrieval system works well, and the staff are caring and friendly.

      Incompetent management

      Greystar management is horrible. Non-responsive, avoidant, and will overcharge for utilities, "forget" to apply concessions to your account, and in my case, conveniently not respond to questions about getting my security deposit back after I've moved out

      Packages are stolen all the time. The building management has not fixed this and even sent email recommending packages be shipped somewhere else because they can’t choose to not control the theft by managing it or getting a service to do so.

      Not Great

      As a current resident, don't move here unless you enjoy having most of your packages stolen. Packages are delivered to a communal mail room and typically laid across the floor. A high number of packages "go missing" and do not make it to the residents unless they are quick to the mail room after delivery. Management of the building is aware of the issue but continually blames the problem on "an issue between tenants" rather than implementing a package management system or Amazon Hub.

      DO NOT MOVE TO THIS APT

      DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS PLACE IF YOU LOOKING FOR SAFETY. I moved in 1 month ago and got 5 delivery packages stolen. Just saw a guy wondering around who is not a resident. First day I moved in a homeless got into the building and didn’t want to leave. He got aggressive and refused to leave. I’m currently living here and I’m warning you to not rent this place. There no security or front desk.

      The management of the building has gone down hill since the building has been purchased, there is rarely a concierge, packages are a huge mess. It would be great if there was a full time desk person who could greet guests and let them up.

      The heat doesnt work, the garage floods, the patio garden closest to the elevator and directly in front of several apartments has been covered with an ugly blue tarp for a year and a half. The community lounge is closed, the trash chutes back up, and theres no gym or door person. Packages get stolen and there is no exposure notification when staff get covid. Is it worth the money for view and location alone? You decide!
