35 East Apartments

Disclaimer: I wrote this review by my own choosing, without any compensation or prompting from the property manager. Having lived at 35 East for four years, there's so much to love about it... The proximity to East Campus including being a 3 minute walk from the brand new East Campus Rec center and Student Union, the proximity to Mopac trail where you can bike to Memorial Stadium in 10 minutes and downtown in 15, the gorgeous Professor's Row neighborhood, and being able to get coffee, a haircut, and Valentino's all without breaking a sweat, and having incredibly respectful neighbors. But the one thing that's hard to match is the customer service that WRK provides to its residents. They clean each unit's windows every year - twice. When my a/c was acting up, a tech showed up less than 30 minutes after texting the property manager. When the a/c unit above me was dripping on my unit, causing a tortuous sound, they fixed it - twice. When my a/c unit wasn't cooling my apartment fast enough, they replaced it - twice. They installed CO monitors in each of the units, even though everything runs on electricity and there's no need for CO monitors. When I first moved in and the building was basically unoccupied, they installed indoor bike storage, even though it was advertised but not technically available. So, if you're on the fence about 35 East (or really any other WRK property), what, really, are you waiting for?
