Tired of apartment buildings and management companies? I have a spacious 2 bed / 1 bath (approx. 930 sf) garden level guest suite in my single-family home in Applewood available for $1,850/mo. This is the total you’ll pay for rent of $1,700/mo plus $150/mo for your share of water, sewer, trash, electric, gas and internet. The unit was remodeled in 2020 and has its own separate entrance, full kitchen, laundry room and lots of storage. Unlike some basement apartments, this is only 5 steps down from the yard so the 7 windows let in plenty of light and air. Although it has 2 bedrooms, the 2nd one is small so only appropriate for occasional visitors or a separate home office. I've priced this assuming that there would be single occupant. I may be open to negotiating the rent down some if you’re someone who will only be here part time because of work travel or other situations. I’ve listed this as an apartment because it isn’t a full house. It is part of a shared house with me living upstairs so it’s important to me to have the right person living here. I’m offering the unit unfurnished for 12 month term but it could be provided shorter term or furnished (as shown in the photographs) for additional rent. All appliances (washer, dryer, refrigerator, gas range, microwave, dishwasher) are included regardless. The unit also has two mini-split heat pumps (1 in LR and 1 in bedroom) so you can control your own heat and air conditioning with no air exchange between it and the main house. Applewood is a quiet and safe neighborhood of single-family homes where Golden, Wheat Ridge and Lakewood meet. It is convenient to downtown Denver but access to the mountains via I-70 or US 6 is far superior for ski days or summer mountain weekends. It’s also an easy drive to the Highlands, Old Towne Arvada, Golden, Bel-Mar, etc. Crown Hill Park, the Clear Creek bike path and the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center.
