Clinton is a quaint, waterfront town along the shores of the Long Island Sound. The area has beautiful beaches, multiple marinas, and farmlands with horses creating a relaxing coastal countryside atmosphere. Clinton is also the birthplace of Yale University. The small town was originally home to the Collegiate School, which was later moved to New Haven and renamed. The spirit of quality education continues in the schools in Clinton, making it a great place to raise families.
There is plenty to do in this coastal small town. Hammonasset State Beach Park is a great example of the beaches located in and around Clinton. This beach has a boardwalk, boat launch, and over 500 campsites for locals and visitors to enjoy.
