27 North - Student Housing Apartments

I love the pool, gym, and recreational spaces throughout the building. The apartment is more spacious than I thought and looks like the pictures! (Partially furnished)

The complex is amazing. The staff was so helpful through the whole process and made it so much easier. The gym is really big and the pool and game room are such a fun touch. All of the amentities that comes with the place is awesome and the price is so much better than living on campus

Well furnished room with good amenities. However,WiFi service and Ethernet port on the wall’s information is unclear. After moving in, the WiFi information and password is still not available and require us to use Guest WiFi

i think 27 north does a good job when it comes to having a safe and reliable community for resisdents to follow and that their maintenance staff are very friendly to help fix things in the apartment.

Move-in day was smooth and quick, got all my keys and my room was empty and clean for me to move in. So far all utilities in the apartment have been working good:)

New resident and the amenities are great. There is a gym, a pool, and a game room. The space is nice, furnished with a bed, mattress, desk, chair, but no overhead light.

Living at 27 North has been a great experience. The location is super convenient for SJSU students, making it easy to get to campus and around downtown. The amenities are well-maintained, and the common areas feel modern and welcoming. The staff is responsive and helpful whenever I’ve had questions or needed assistance. My apartment itself is comfortable and well-designed for student living, with plenty of space to study and relax. Overall, I’ve enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend it to other students looking for a balance of convenience, community, and comfort.

I have loved my experience here entirely it’s just been a little disappointing that our washing machine isn’t working and our maintenance request hasn’t been taken care of yet. Other than that I love everything in my place and the many amenities as well as the constantly helpful front office staff.

Very nice community of students. My new roommates are very helpful when it comes to cleaning up after each other. They also are very generous when getting things for our apartment and ask what’s needed.

Location is good, quick walk to campus. It is convenient to have a dog park/relief area in the building and not have to take my dog out on the street when she has to use the bathroom. However upon move in there were multiple issues with appliances and lights, some of which still haven’t been fixed a week later despite putting in maintenance requests. Communication when it comes to manners like this could be better on the part of management.

I love that there is another elevator that takes u to the gym and back side because it makes leaving the building a little faster sometimes.

I’ve had a really nice experience living here. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and feels well taken care of. The location is convenient for students, with everything I need close by. The building feels safe, and the staff are helpful whenever I have a question. It’s a good balance of being affordable while still feeling like a nice place to live.

Apartment was extremely dirty when I moved in. Hair was all over the floor, stains all over, and the blinds were broken. In the bathroom, towel rack was about to fall off.

The apartment is very clean and looks nice with great furniture. The rooms are spacious with nice carpet floors. The rooms come with a desk and bed-frame with a mattress and a drawer

Very nice environment but the room was missing some key items and the walls were somewhat damaged. However I would recommend the apartments to others in the future.

I like all the room I have with the bedroom, bathroom, closet, and living area, makes it easy to just live in. Outlets all over the walls are super nice too. The walls are like paper thin though so it’s hard for me to just do my own thing in my own room at a regular volume without my roommates hearing it

super fast and easy. love my roommates. amenities are great and space was very clean. i just wish our bedrooms and closets were a bit bigger given the fact that our living room and kitchen are pretty big.

I was welcomed very nicely. I was also helped when needed and when i called they answered very quickly. I really like the staff here and will look forward to living here my 2 years in college

I think the appliances could be better, I found that the fridge wouldn’t work that well even when the setting was kept at maximum. I also wish the housemate pairing system was taken more seriously, and carefully curated, especially because it is individual based rent. If we’re paying so much as is, the people we live with should be similar to us.

I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate how amazing the apartments at 27 North are! The modern design, convenient amenities, and prime location near downtown San Jose and SJSU make it an ideal place to live—especially for students and young professionals.

Amenities are great. Maintenance responds quickly to any issues. It is a secure place to live. I like that the laundry is inside the apartment, making things very convenient.

Leasing staff usually responds to email inquiries within a day or two. Maintenance requests easily submitted online and fulfilled ASAP. Convenient in-unit laundry machines and package/ mail delivery lockers downstairs. Very close to SJSU campus. Elevators break sometimes, but amenities are worth it.

It's my 4rth year living at this apartment community & has been largely positive. The location is convenient, making it easy for me to get to campus and nearby amenities. However, there's a lot of homeless people in the outside area. Other than that, this apartment is great for SJSU students.

very good and nice living conditions. maintenance is always available and ready when an issue arises. very solid place to live for a student.

I have a had a positive experience. The amenities are good. I like the community events we have every now and then. They are fun and always have snacks. Also, maintenance has always been quick to resolve any issues.

We have had a broken elevator for over two months. it was supposed to be fixed a long time ago. they said it would definitely be fixed last week, and no to no one's surprise, it is still broken there is no improvement or further notice on when they will fix it.

I’ve been at 27 North for three years and it has been great. I think the best thing about it is its location. It’s a block away from campus, so you don’t have to worry about parking, which is a huge problem at Sjsu. 27 North’s rooms and overall building is pretty clean too. The only bad thing about is that the elevators go out frequently, which is partly the fault of the residents. Overall, 27 North is a great place to live!

This place is a roach motel and they will blame you as soon as you sign that lease. There are plenty of other housing buildings around that have way better management as well as amenities. The elevators never work and hot water is always going off the longest was almost a full month.

everything was good but maintenance is slow. The people at the front desk are very forgetful and do not follow through unless you repeatedly bother them

I have enjoyed living at 27 North and would recommend to it to people looking to move. I am concerned about the dramatic increase of rent prices, as they’re similar to The Grad, but do not offer a similar amount of amenities/benefits. Other than that, I think 27 North is a decent place to live.

27 North is a very welcoming building with great security and maintenance. Maintenance is completed thoroughly and in a timely and professional manner.

the community is very nice and peaceful. There are many things to do around the area. The people in the area of 27 North are helpful whenever I need help with something and very kind people are there to assist with any problems.

I enjoy living here, considering how close it is to campus. It is also very great that the staff hosts a lot of events and sometimes provides free food to its residents. The repair man is also great at doing his job, and he completes any maintenance requests quickly. My only complaint is how sometimes things break easily; for example the blinds or the dryer)

27 North has been a generally good living experience. Don't move here if you're expecting luxury, but FOR ITS PRICE it is the best you can get.

Bad soundproofing you can and you will hear your neighbor Big public place in the suite Small room but you get everything you need Everything else is good

It's not the greatest place to live, but it's also not the worst place to live. Compared to other places around SJSU this is one of the better ones.

Everything here is very accessible! Love how close it is to campus. Sometimes, the water is not working but they give ample notification unless it is an emergency.

Living at 27 North has been pretty good because my apartment has everything that a student essentially needs at their convenience. I also appreciate the staff here.

i think 27north provides a great space for students. you need the key to get into the building and they have security at night so it is super safe. You get to meet lots of friends because they have lots of events, they also give out free food every once in a while. The staff are also really helpful and the maintenance always comes really fast and does such a thorough job.

it’s great here it’s secure and feels safe to be living in this apartment complex especially because of the area that it is located in such a scary area.
