About This Property
Available 1/10/2022! Come relax in your own little slice of wilderness! Our home is situated on three acres of pine forest, rolling hills, and rock outcroppings, all of which invite deer, elk, rabbits, foxes, and even the occasional mountain lion! In the morning, sip your coffee on the south-facing deck and listen to the babble of north turkey creek and the screams of red-tailed hawks. Take in the expansive views of the lush green hills on the 300-acre horse ranch across the street. By night, cuddle up by the fire! This mother-in-law apartment is attached to our home, but fully separate! It comes fully furnished with a full kitchen and reserved parking. Free wifi! Our home is just minutes to the great parks and open spaces of Evergreen and Conifer, including: Flying J Ranch Park – this is just over a five-minute drive up the road towards Conifer. It is a gentle 2.8-mile loop around the park, mostly through pine forest. It’s great for mild trail-running, mountain-biking, and hiking. Alderfer/Three Sisters Park – this is one of our favorite parks, as it offers a large variety of trails with great views. You can hike Evergreen mountain for a six-mile jaunt with great views at the top and rock out-croppings that allow you to sit and take them in, or you can opt for shorter trails around Bluebird meadow with open views of Mt. Evans and its surrounding peaks or the Brothers trail, which is a lookout over the town of Evergreen. Meyer Ranch Park – more of a local park with trails that wind through pine forests and some trails (Sunny Aspen & Old Ski Run) have some gorgeous lookouts. Elk Meadows Park – one of Evergreen’s most popular (and therefore more frequented) parks has several trails that go through the vast, open Elk Meadows, as well as those that climb just above the meadows, and one that climbs all the way to the top of Bergen Peak. Staunton State Park – a gem of a park! Staunton has gorgeous trails winding through Aspen groves, granite cliffs, and dramatic lookout points with views of Pike’s peak, Mt. Evans, other surrounding peaks, and waterfalls. Reynolds Ranch Park – a quiet park with trails that parallel a shady stream, and the Eagle’s Nest trail, which climbs to a breathtaking viewpoint.
