The thoughtfully decorated living room is a haven of relaxation, featuring sumptuous leather sofas that invite you to kick back and unwind. Need extra space? One sofa converts to a convenient pull-out bed, comfortably sleeping two additional guests. Adjacent, the dedicated dining room provides a wonderful space with seating for six, perfect for shared meals and creating lasting memories. The heart of the home, the kitchen, is a chef's dream with brand-new appliances and plentiful counter space, truly equipped for all your culinary adventures. The primary bedroom offers a tranquil retreat with its queen-size bed and a private ensuite bathroom, ensuring comfort and privacy. For your entertainment, a large smart TV in the living room provides seamless access to Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ logins, ready for your movie nights or morning news. This unit does not have assigned parking, but you're welcome to park on the street in front of the home. Situated in the prime neighborhood of Bankers Hill, San Diego's famous Little Italy is just a 7-minute walk away, known for its restaurants, art walk, and Saturday farmer's market. You can also easily walk to Balboa Park, a vibrant urban oasis offering numerous attractions including art, science, and history museums, the San Diego Zoo, luscious gardens, historical architecture, delectable restaurants, and outdoor activities. The property's convenient location provides easy access to the airport, making your travel experience a breeze, while the bay, downtown, Coronado Island, and the convention center are just a few minutes away by car. Be aware of the potential for noise from the nearby airport, since the home is within the flight path and close to the highway. Noise is muted when all windows and doors are closed, but can certainly be heard when outside. The property has another home in the back of the parcel that is sometimes rented out separately, as well as an upstairs unit with a long-term renter. Check-in is 4:00 PM or later unless other arrangements have been approved by the host. Access instructions will be sent through the booking platform the morning of your stay only after the guest agreement has been signed. Check-out is at 11:00 AM unless previously discussed. Guests shall vacate the unit at the end of its rental period. If the housekeepers arrive on time at 11:00 AM and the unit is not vacated, guests will be charged $100 every fifteen minutes past 11:00 AM for their delay. Guests who overstay their reservation prevent us from offering reservations with same day transitions and creates operational challenges for our housekeeping staff and for guests arriving the same day. You must be at least 25 years old to reserve our property. This home is located in a quiet neighborhood, and we participate in a community noise reduction program. Our NoiseAware system monitors noise levels and occupancy to help us maintain a respectful atmosphere. If excessive noise or occupancy is detected, our software will automatically reach out to remind you of our quiet hours and rules related to noise levels. This technology respects your privacy and only monitors noise levels, not personal conversations or information. We have a zero-tolerance policy for noise complaints, parties or gatherings of any sort. Please respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. Quiet hours are daily from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Unauthorized additional guests or visitors will result in an unauthorized visitor fee of $250 per person. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at the property. Guests who bring unauthorized pets onto the property will be responsible for a fine of $250 per pet, and any additional cleaning charges based on the cleanliness of the home at time of check-out. Our property is 100% smoke free; including both private and communal areas, the unit itself, and any other public areas within the building and the communal property regardless of whether inside or out. You must be totally off of the premises and on public property to smoke. Evidence of smoking will result in a fine up to $2,000 for smoke remediation. No illegal activity or illicit substances are permitted on the premises: doing either will result in immediate eviction from the property, and may also result in law enforcement involvement. This property implements video surveillance in outdoor public areas to ensure the safety and security of all guests. Subletting the property is strictly prohibited. Registration Number: 644998

Neighborhood

Wedged between Balboa Park on the east side and San Diego Airport to the west, Bankers Hill is a terrific location for those who like to travel, those who like nature, and those who want to be close to the city center – Downtown San Diego is directly south of Bankers Hill. It is named for the wealthier residents who first populated the area, which developed during the 1800s. Many of the elegant Victorian mansions still dominate the neighborhood, although many have been converted into bed and breakfasts and office suites.

Today, Bankers Hill is best known for its restaurants, which line Fifth Avenue. Residents from all over San Diego head here to enjoy hotspots like Evolution, Cucina Urbana, Café Bassam, Barrio Star, Mister A’s, and Azuki Sushi. The Maple Canyon Trail is a more hidden gem in the neighborhood – residents know about it, but few others are aware of this terrific hiking path that extends one mile through the center of the neighborhood.
