About This Property
2457 Oak St, Santa Monica, CA Unit B Hello! This is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath modern bungalow situated in a Mediterranean-feeling single-story complex next to Clover Park in Santa Monica. Uniquely, it features a private outdoor patio with both brick and soil, it is pet friendly and a genuinely good setting for dogs, appliances are high quality, maintenance responds almost instantaneously, and it has beautiful exposed woodwork across high arched ceilings. It is a chill apartment in a really quiet, safe, friendly, and green location on the Westside not too far from the 10 (4-5min), the 405 (7-9min), or the ocean. It includes a garage, and Oak Street outside has easy parking (very, very peculiar to this exact area) almost every day of the week (sometimes on weekends folks flock to the park and take it all up). This apartment is likely going to be found most appealing by a person or couple that either have or don't mind maintaining a relatively small footprint—there is ample storage within the included garage and some high spaces within the apartment, but in square footage it is not large (see floor plan taken by an app that is probably accurate within a few inches in each room). Other features: a Samsung dishwasher, a Haier fridge, a washer, a dryer, a huge walk-in shower with bench, big windows and good lighting, tall ceilings, a garage for car and storage or just storage, two powerful a/c and heater units with fans, built-in lighting throughout many on dimmers (including accent lighting), and a garden with large, thriving plants. This apartment is literally next to Clover Park; there are only a handful of properties that could claim closer proximity (see Maps). If you like being in the park and/or have pets that like being in the park, then this is an apartment to seriously consider. If you like to garden and want an outdoor space, even better. If you like quiet, or the soothing sound of flowing water (there is an eco-friendly fountain in the complex's single brick-lined corridor), you will like this property. Oak Street, like the streets that parallel it, are lined with gorgeous trees that flow over the road and lovely homes. Ocean Park has several bars, restaurants, convenience stores, etc. within walking distance. This is a neighborhood in which we have felt extremely safe. The fire station is a block away, and as an anecdote, once we left a wallet in open sight in a car overnight and nothing happened. The complex has two entrances, one in the alley, and one off Oak Street, which feed into a single corridor where eight homes are entered; this one is one off the end closest to Oak Street. My partner and I are unfortunately moving out to be in a different part of town (commute logistics), but can highly recommend this space as a place to call home. None of the furniture pictured comes with the apartment, but if you are interested in the clothing rack installed in the bedroom that can be discussed. Rent is 3,800; the garage is 200; a pet deposit is 300; the deposit to move in will be 3,800. So 4,000 a month for the space and the garage and the free and available parking just outside the gate on Oak Street. It would be a one year lease and then monthly after that (typical, as far as I know). Water is free. We pay electricity bills, internet bills, and gas bills. So, shoot me a text if you want to see the apartment in-person in the coming days, you have at least good credit, don't mind the background checks that they will do (I have nothing to do with this), are comfortable with a move-in date roughly between June 12-21, are okay with the price (it is firm, I also have nothing to do with that), and everything else mentioned. I will show it to you myself, and then if you are interested, refer you to them and they will process it. Things could be set up very quickly, and we are willing to accommodate folks who might need something sooner rather than later (basically just willing to work with people on a human level). Please be able to satisfy the criteria that they will want (bad credit will likely be a no-go). Please be serious if you come!
