The house is four blocks from the beach and three short blocks from Santa Monica's vintage/chic Main Street with tons of coffee shops and good food. There are 5 star restaurants, singing bars and taco stands up and down the street, as well as locally owned and appointment-only clothing shops. It is a weekend destination for people who live further inland as it is usually 20 degrees cooler than places just a mile from here because of the water. There are three parks in the immediate area and three Farmers Markets each week with locally grown produce and entertainment. This is a terrific place to eat, live and be healthy. From here, it is a 15 minute walk to the famous Santa Monica Pier, 21 alternative and main stream cinema screens and The 3rd Street Promenade, a tourist-famous, brand-name shopping mecca. Transportation improvement has been the focus of Santa Monica for the last several years.
