23060 Alsea Hwy is a house located in Benton County and the 97370 ZIP Code. This area is served by the Philomath School District 17j attendance zone.
Philomath is small city just outside of Corvallis, located about three miles from Downtown Corvallis and about two miles from Oregon State University. Philomath is named for a college that existed here from 1867 until 1929. Philomath means “love of learning” in Greek. The historic building that housed the college is now the Benton County Historical Museum.
With its mountain views and hilly, wooded landscape, Philomath is an attractive community. And while you could commute to work in Corvallis in less than 10 minutes, Philomath is home to several businesses and mills, making it an ideal live-work-play community. For the “play” part, Philomath is home to Marys River Park, Philomath City Park, the Philomath Clemens Community Swimming Pool, and the Philomath Frolic & Rodeo. Philomath Boulevard is lined with shops, restaurants, and other businesses. Wineries dot the landscape in and around Philomath, as do farms.
