WELCOME TO CASA DE LUZ! Welcome to your 1-bedroom apartment in sunny downtown Chula Vista, an extremely walkable neighborhood, just 15 min south of downtown San Diego! Texting is fine as an intro, but a real phone call will put you at the head of the list, thanks! :-) OVERALL UNIT DETAILS: Apartment consists of a living room/kitchenette space, a good-sized bedroom with queen bed, lots of storage including 2 large closets and a coat closet, a large bathroom, access to outdoor space, onsite washer/dryer, and many other amenities! This unit is part of a 4-plex in a charming craftsman home right in downtown Chula Vista. Your immediate complex neighbors are quiet, respectful, cooperative, well-established tenants and the vibe of the complex is very peaceful. Surrounding neighbors are super kind. I (the home owner) live in one of the units, and I am very attentive and responsive and will do everything to make your stay here pleasant. HOME AMENITITES: - The living room/kitchenette is a cozy yet bright welcome-home space for you! The living space features a daybed styled as a super-comfy sofa, and can be used as a twin-sized bed. (This is in addition to the queen bed in the bedroom). There are two dressers which to be used for general storage or kitchen storage, and a high-top table which can be set up as a bar/ more kitchen prep space (as in the photo), or can be put together as a square high-top dining table for when you have guests - up to you! - The kitchenette is technically "-ette" but is very close to a regular kitchen. It includes a standard full-sized fridge, brand new kitchen sink, tons of prep space and storage space, a microwave, and brand new hotplates that are larger than most, accompanied by a range hood (aspirator for when you cook). The only thing missing is an oven, and you are welcome to borrow the main-house oven occasionally. The kitchen is fully stocked, meaning that cooking utensils, pots, pans, plates, etc. are provided. - The bedroom is quite large for the space, with a queen-sized bed, large beautiful cedar closet, two desks (one large, one small), a new large dresser, and a small matching dresser. - The bathroom is large and comfortable, with a full-sized shower, a large vanity, and plenty of storage. OUTDOOR SPACES AND OTHER FEATURES: - Outdoor amenities include a gated driveway, wrap-around large yard, and a communal patio with double lounger, umbrella table, and barbecue grill for entertaining. - There is street parking available, and it is free and quite easy 99% of the time to park on the street. There may be an option for driveway parking - let's talk! - There is a washer/dryer in the laundry onsite, shared by all tenants on the property. - Rent is ALL BILLS PAID - Super-fast fiber WiFi from AT&T is included along with other bills (electric, sewage, trash, etc.) NEIGHBORHOOD AMENITIES: This part of Chula Vista is super-close to downtown San Diego. In addition to being close to many hospitals and other places of work, you will also be a: ~15-minute drive from downtown San Diego and the exciting Gaslamp district! ~15 minute drive from Coronado island, one of San Diego's most iconic beautiful beach spots, and 20 minutes from Imperial Beach. ~15 minute drive from trendy neighborhoods such as North Park, Hillcrest, University Heights, and other central San Diego hotspots. Additionally, the neighborhood of the home (downtown Chula Vista) is walkable and convenient. Within a 5-10-minute walk you'll find a library, park, rec center, community lap pool, and several gyms, including a free outdoor gym right next to the house! Right down the street are countless restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and a "hopping" brewery scene (pun intended! ;-)) There is very active nightlife right down the street, and yet the house is super-quiet and feels incredibly safe.
