This is a Italian Vicoriate Townhouse located in historic Hancock that was the last known brothel in town. All utilities and WIFI are included in the rent. It has 4 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, washer and dryer in the basement, a portable dishwasher, and a back yard deck. The house had a new driveway installed in 2025 with parking for 4 vehicles. Although the property is only one block up from the main street, the backyard has a feeling of seclusion when the trees are in full bloom. There is also a deck in the back of the house. The kitchen has a linoleum floor and three bedrooms have carpet. There are hardwood floors in one bedroom, the dining froom, and hallways. The kitchen has the normal appliances, such as a fridge and a range and the aforementioned portable dishwasher. The new floor on the front porch is close to being completed. Dogs and cats are allowed per approval and each animal is $50 a month more in rent. Please no puppies or kittens. Certain breeds of dogs may need extra insurance that would be requested to have additional insurance. For instance, this has occurred in the past with a German Shepard and I think that the tenet had to buy a $100 liability policy and the dog was allowed. The MTU shuttle has a stop about 100 yards away from the building at the Northern Mutual Insurance stop. Smoking is not permitted in the residence along with the burning of some candles that will leave residue on walls. Also no deep freezers or grow lamps. Last, the property is within walking distance of the waterfront park, the great TEXMEX restaurant La Cantina, Milly's Pizza, Griffin's Cafe (new and great!), Uncles (formerly the Kaleva Cafe), Nutinis (great bar and restaurant with a competive trivia night on Thursday evenings), the Keweenaw Coop, Ginos, the Orpheum Theatre where one can see great regional and national musical acts and where one can order food in or takeout) and some more places that I probably neglected to mention. This is the third time that I've used last, but the property is less than a mile from the bridge, so when the weather is mild, a walk to Houghton should be no big deal.
