About This Home
Feel at home in this cozy mountain retreat with frequent wildlife sightings, including bears, deer, and turkey that regularly roam through the yard. This home features a kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, regular coffee pot and Keurig, a crock pot, water dispenser, and is stocked with pots and pans, dishes, and basic spices. The living room has a fireplace, couch with recliners on each end, two chairs, a bench, and access to the rear deck and loft. There are two large humidifiers in the house for guests' use, which is very beneficial in the winter months as it can get dry up in the mountains. Enjoy the hot tub with a view of the mountains. Located in a neighborhood of mountain homes with beautiful views of Woodland Park, this home is about 13 minutes from downtown Woodland Park. You may encounter wildlife, as it is common to see deer, turkey, and bears roaming around. Colorado Springs Airport is 36 miles away, about a 45-minute drive, and Denver Airport is a two-hour drive. It is 39 miles to the Air Force Academy, 20 miles to Manitou Springs, 24 miles to Garden of the Gods, 26 miles to Cripple Creek, 61 miles to Royal Gorge, and 6 miles (15 minutes) to Charis Bible College. Some of the roads are steep, so 4WD or AWD will be necessary in the winter. Uber and taxis are available but may be difficult to get on short notice, and 4WD or AWD is highly recommended. Includes a desk and printer in the loft. [SI]

Woodland Park is bordered by the Pike National Forest, and despite its motto as “the city above the clouds,” it still looks up to the towering Pikes Peak to the south. Known for its scenic surroundings, locals enjoy Woodland Park for its immediate access to expansive hiking trails and welcoming, laidback community.
There’s a small town atmosphere that encompasses Woodland Park. Most of the town’s offerings line West Midland Ave., and there’s everything from donut shops to popular delis that serve the area.
Woodland Park’s active community puts on hundreds of events and celebrations throughout the year, including art shows and a well-attended Christmas parade. The east side of the city is made up of picturesque mountainside homes and impressive apartment complexes, all shrouded by pristine wilderness. Despite its secluded location, there are plenty of highways that make the area accessible, including US-24, and Colorado Springs is only 30 minutes to the southeast.
