About This Home
This private studio is a beautiful, light, and airy loft with views of the Columbia River and the PDX Airport to the south and a cozy, peaceful English-garden-like backyard to the north. It is located within a quiet, historic 1929 home with really beautiful common spaces, including a full kitchen with a ton of light and character and the laundry room located in the basement. There is room for parking for the tenant and for having guests when needed. The loft originally was a cabin space for a wealthy family in the 30s, so the huge open space with plenty of unique nooks makes for a very customizable living space. We are obsessed with the loft, as it has some of the most epic light and views in the whole house. The monthly rent for the private Riverview studio is $1400, utilities included. The first month's rent and a security deposit of $1400 are due upon signing. Lease terms available are 12 months, 8 months, 6 months, or 3 months. Available for immediate move-in upon approval. The neighborhood is stunningly quiet since most of the neighbors are retired. There is a paved sidewalk across the street that leads to a nature preserve, Biddle Lake, and walking trails that go along the river, so you get views along the walk. It’s a quick hop onto Highway 14 (about half a mile up the road), so there is easy access to Portland, downtown Vancouver, East Vancouver, and Camas/Washougal. David and Jessica (the landlords) live on the opposite end of the home. The loft is on the opposite end of the house and accessed via a shared entry; your living area itself is private. Please note as a heads-up: we have a toddler daughter born in 2024, so you may occasionally hear some baby sounds or now, words! For work, David is in the AI industry as a researcher and splits time between home and local coffee shops. Jessica is a hairstylist who owns a studio downtown. When not working downtown, she's home with our daughter during the day. Cats are not permitted, but hypoallergenic dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Studio amenities include a desk, queen bed, couch, mini fridge, portable heaters, TV, microwave, and river views. The loft runs cooler in fall/winter, and the electrical load is limited; we provide space heaters and will walk you through which outlets to use! House amenities include a beautiful vintage shared kitchen plus kitchenette basics in the unit, a 3/4 bath (shower, toilet, sink, mirror, and cabinets), a peaceful backyard, parking, and access to the walking path along Old Evergreen Highway overlooking the Columbia River. Showings are available upon request; reach out to schedule a time to see the space.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
