About the Listing Agent

John Robinson
MATHERS REALTY.COM
John Robinson is the owner and president of Mathers Realty. John purchased the company in 2024 after 8 years as a top real estate broker with Mathers Realty. John started his career in real estate after a career change from restaurant management. He was looking for a career with more flexibility in order to devote more time to his growing family, but he still wanted to work with the general public and decided that helping people purchase their dreams was the right path for him. John chose Mathers Realty as his firm of choice based on the family atmosphere and their strong hold and understanding of the Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas market. During John’s first year as a real estate agent, he was nominated for the “Top New Agent of the Year” award for the state of North Carolina. The following year he won the company “Purple Monkey” award as the top performer for their yearly training camp. Due to John’s quick success in the real estate business and his previous management skills, John was offered and accepted a position as a manager within the Mathers Realty firm in his second year with the company. In this role John continued to sell and buy real estate as well as recruit and train new agents to the firm. John has recruited over 15 agents and continues to bring new talent to the firm. John is licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina, and he has experience with residential, commercial and investment real estate. John is a people person and really enjoys devoting time to his community. He wanted to find a way to become more involved in his local community and in 2017 he joined his local chapter of the Lion’s Club. The Lion’s Club is an organization that raises money and provides community service for the blind, diabetes research, and child hunger. John quickly became involved with the Mint Hill Lions and their community service events such as local food drives, fundraisers, child eye screenings and community support events. His love for the organization deepened when he attended his first VIP fishing tournament in the Outer Banks, NC. This event, hosted by the Loins Club, serves over 300 blind adults from across the country for a 3-day fishing tournament and social events. In 2021, John became the President of the local Mint Hill Lions Club Chapter and is still serving in this position. During his time as the president, he has worked to keep his members active and serving the community and has added additional volunteer opportunities to keep the club active and engaged. Outside of real estate and the Lion’s Club John is a devoted family man. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Ashley, for 17 years and together they have two beautiful daughters, Makenzie and Kadence. Makenzie is currently in her senior year at UNC at Charlotte and is majoring in Health Systems Management with a minor in Public Health. Kadence is in the 10th grade and is duly enrolled in high school and college and she is currently getting her Associates in Arts degree. She is looking for a career in animal wildlife or real estate. During his free time John enjoys fishing, cooking, football, and the outdoors. He and his family enjoy traveling both in the United States and internationally and spending time outdoors with each other.
