The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at 1Oak
I lived here 9 years and it was horrible every step of the way. This place is infested with multiple species of cockroaches, there’s mold everywhere and they don’t know how to get rid of it, they do not clean the stairwells literally ever, and there’s a water leak somewhere in the building almost constantly from rotting pipes, resulting in weekly water shut offs, and the continuation of black mold. The building manager is barely there, so an old woman who cannot help you in any way with anything is the point of contact most days, and the owners are beyond rude. The apartments come dirty with paint that melts off the walls at the first shower or pot of boiling water. The pool burns your skin because they don’t know how to take care of it. The parking lot will give you a flat tire. The elevators break down monthly and it took them a year to fix the one. The list goes on. It’s a terrible place to live and you should absolutely never consider living here.
Went in to the leasing office after the holiday. Saw 2 nicely available units. Noisy and bustling area. Person showing me the Apartments just gave me an application. I didn't turn it in. The real manager wouldn't return for a few days. I called and sent requests but nothing happened. Transit is right there.
I lived here for a few years and didn't have a problem until the new management stepped in. The water is turned off once a week and the elevators are always broken. The "updates" on the first floor are awful. The new manager is such a jerk. He makes you feel uncomfortable and is incredibly rude. Many residents were leaving as soon as the management changed because he is terrible to deal with. Don't bother to try to contact the owner about him because he is her grandson The rent goes up $30 every year. I left my apartment cleaner than when I moved in and never got my security deposit back. I never ever received a letter in the mail stating why I wasn't getting it back (which is illegal in the state of Ohio from what I've read)
Every since management changed last Summer this place has gone down the tubes. No renovations are being down to hallways except the first floor. Management is slimy and customer service is lacking. It takes months for anything to get fixed. Elevator is constantly broken. Many people living there for many years are moving out and say this is the worst managemt they have ever seen. Prices going up as well! Please do yourself a favor and stay away!! My move out date cannot come soon enough! There are several fake reviews as well on other websites! Be aware!
I moved in 2 weeks ago, and after a difficult search, I know I've made the right choice. Moving is the worst, but I got a renovated apartment at a great price. Comfort with the management all the way to the great location made it easy. Management and maintenance staff truly care about the people who live here, as they are available and accessible whenever needed. It feels good knowing I have a safe, comfortable and classy place to live. Thank you to Brook, Ron, Richie!
Our floor manfisted with bed bugs , close to bars , not enough parking. Can’t wait to get out.
This is a great apartment to live. It is situated in a fun area of town with bars and restaurants close by which caters to a younger clientele like myself. Also, the apartment has renovated kitchens which are very nice. The bedroom is a perfect size for a queen size bed. The maintenance team is on call 24/7 which is great if there are any issues with electric or etc. There is swimming pool that is awesome and open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The laundry room has an adequate amount of washers and dryers and is only $2.50 for washes and $2.50 for drying. There is an apartment manager who is on the facility for about 50 hours a week and is available for any questions. The elevators are a tad outdated tho and make a weird sound when on them. Parking is only $10.00 and than it is free for the entirety of your lease which is nice. Other apartments in Lakewood either have limited parking or a much higher fee. Lastly, the apartments are at an affordable rate for the location and the quality of the rooms and complex. I highly recommend it to anyone considering moving to Lakewood, Ohio.
