Better than an apartment - no shared walls! This 1 BR home, a 700sf Tudor style Cottage, is located behind the main house on a large 1/3-acre lot. The open, spacious, ground floor room is approx. 20' x 20' with a ceramic tile floor. The upscale kitchen is on one wall, has granite countertops, newer stainless-steel appliances, and plenty of cupboards. The open space gives you lots of options. Set up an eating area, a relaxing TV zone, a small home office and/or … There are mini-blinds on all of the windows throughout the home. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. The bedroom has a very large, easy to access attic storage space, and a large window which allows a lot of light. The bathroom includes granite counters and a shower. Please note: The staircase is rather steep, and narrow because the stairs need to end at the highest point in the center of the upstairs space. This can pose a challenge for some physically, or getting large furnishings upstairs. There is a covered entry at the front door, and a larger 18’ long covered deck out the back door. The cottage has its own little yard, also, you have access to 4x8 garden beds, and off-street parking. There is lots of space for gardening (vegetables, fruit, or flowers) if you like. A major bus line on SE Division is a is a 5-minute walk away. Division also has a bike lane. Fred Meyers is less than a mile away. There is a nice walking/jogging/exercise trail around Glendoveer Golf Course 1 mile north, a nice hike and viewpoint at Powell Butte a couple of miles away, and the major Springwater Corridor Biking and Walking Path about 1.5 miles south. From the cottage it is about 8 miles to downtown Portland, and 5 miles to Gresham. Rent includes water, sewer, and garbage. Per Portland code: The 72 hour notice of availability begins on 6/13/2025 at 8:00am. I prefer to show the residence before handing out an application. My screening criteria documents are included in the pictures. If you have the need for extra storage, there is a 12' x 16' metal building behind the cottage that is also available to rent (an additional $200/mo). This can be used for storage or modified for possible office space, art studio, or workspace. Applicant must gross 2x the monthly rent to qualify.
