About This Property

The Lakeside Cottage is the ideal spring and summer rental for anyone looking for quiet and privacy on a rarely traveled country road overlooking a bucolic lake. Located high in the Helderberg Hills and on the edge of the quaint hamlet of Rensselaerville, the house is surrounded by thousands of acres of forever protected lands. The property is part of the Huyck Preserve with twelve miles of marked trails and includes a summer pass to the private beach on Lake Myosotis, just across the road. A large kitchen opens into the dining room with a table to seat eight comfortably. A huge covered porch is furnished for dining al fresco and a grill is available for outdoor cooking. The rambling farmhouse has four bedrooms and an office/extra bedroom as well as cozy nooks to retreat to and relax away the summer. Also included is use of the Preserve kayaks. Convenient shopping is at Trader Joes and Whole Foods in Albany about 30 minutes away.
