On the northwest side of Downtown Boise, West Downtown is both urban and suburban -- close to downtown, but removed just enough to feel a little more peaceful. West Downtown extends from West State Street south to West Idaho Street, and from North 19th Street to North 16th Street. The square-shaped neighborhood is laid out in a grid pattern, with tree-lined residential areas taking up most of the neighborhood.
