Charming 2 Bed/2.5 Bath Home in Shaw, Available 01/29/2026 You'll want to see this historic two-bedroom gem of a rowhouse in person! The living area features charming exposed brick, original hardwood flooring, and plenty of natural light. The open space kitchen offers plenty of counter space as well as an eat-at, bar-height countertop, stainless steel appliances, and a wine refrigerator. Just past the kitchen is a large private patio space. Head upstairs to a common hallway that separates the two bedrooms. The primary bedroom, to the right, includes an ensuite bathroom with a tub/shower and a private terrace overlooking the back yard. The smaller bedroom, to the left, includes an ensuite bathroom with a shower and light-filled windows. The house is located half a mile from Shaw-Howard University Metro Station, which connects to the green and yellow lines. Bus routes include the C53, C57, and D32 (Capitol Heights Station, Tenleytown Station). Grocery stores nearby include Giant Food. Local restaurants include Beau Thai, Chaplin's, Compass Coffee, Dacha Beer Garden, DCity Smokehouse, and many more with quick connection to the U Street corridor. There is an application fee of $50 per applicant. The minimum credit score requirement is 670 (per DC statute, the approval decision is not based solely on the credit score). The minimum lease term is for one year. Tenants are responsible for water, gas, electricity, and cable/internet (if desired). A security system is present and can be activated for an additional fee. One dog under 40 lbs will be accepted on a case-by-case basis with a one-time, non-refundable pet fee of $300. No smoking is allowed in the property. This home will be available for move-in in late January - early February.
