As part of the MVP family of apartments, 159 Gazette Avenue is essentially right next door to the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Health Sciences. Given its close proximity to UK Healthcare facilities and several professional colleges, MVP has historically had a resident base of serious-minded individuals who value quiet and clean surroundings. Parking comes with the apartment and is free of charge. There is also on-site laundry. What differentiates MVP from other apartment communities is its ownership & management. Dedicated. Responsive. Always available. The apartments are owned by Matt Jones (Nah.......not that Matt Jones of KSR, Kentucky Sports Radio, fame). Matt has owned and managed apartments around UK campus for 17+ years. Management philosophy is simple and has its roots from a conversation that Matt had with a vendor several years ago when discussing various ways in which to handle a maintenance issue. In the midst of debating which road to take, the vendor paused for a moment and posed the following question that stuck with Matt and, to this very day, guides management decisions: "Matt, if that were your son or your daughter living in the apartment, what would you do?" The answer, of course, was clear. Management decisions adhere to the guiding principle of treating residents as though they were family members.
